New Amex Foursquare offers have just been announced. Is the Barclaycard Cashback Amex eligible?
It appears that partner issued Lloyds, MBNA and TSB cards are eligible.
Yes the Barclaycard Amex is eligible.0 -
Ha - I'm livid having just spent 20 minutes on phone. I have only just recd the new cards and I sent complaint along line of those previously sent.
Just had phone call - then escalated higher - to be told offers previously made were no longer valid.
I pointed out firmly it was Barclaycard who chose when to migrate me and they cannot possibly offer some people double cashback and bonuses - but now say that has been stopped:mad:!
My complaint has now gone up another level where I will hear something within "40 days".
Anyone know how I escalate further as I am fuming at this treatment!!

Former MSDW customer here.
Was hoping they would double/quadruple the cashback I was formally earning.
(Edit: To clarify, this wasn't any personal special offer. I was formally earning just 0.25% cashback. New deal should be 0.5% for Visa, 1.0% for Amex, and 1.0% for period I continued to use former Mastercard which was limited to about 1 month)
Like some others, all mention of cashback has now disappeared.
I called them and they told me they were aware of the issue, their technical team were working on it, and that the cashback will be shown on the next statement (including the amount previously accrued and the amount earned this month plus whatever is earned next month.)
For interest, I enquired how much cashback I had earned in total including the amount they forgot to show on the statement this month.
Very confusing results given.
First offering was less than I had earned as shown on my previous (June) statement.
Second offering was what I had accrued on my June.
Third offering was they had no idea.
Complaint now raised with a promise they will inform me in writing the total amount accrued (including what I earned this month) in 7-10 days.
Time taken to get this was 25 minutes on the phone
I wonder if it will be correct...?0 -

You have to allow the card provider 8 weeks to resolve (or issue a deadlock letter) before taking the matter to the ombudsman (which would be the usual next step if required).0 -
I had the High 5, and the Egg 1% card (so 2 barclaycards).
I complained when they shifted the High 5 one over to the new amex+visa combo. I got £30 compensation when I originally complained.
When I closed the account, I got a further £24 compensation (the fee, refunded - not pro rated, but in full).
I complained when they shifted the Egg one over, and they just gave me £50. This was TODAY (about an hour ago), via the online messaging system.
So up £104 on it so far.
Will give it a few months to get the £15 cashback on £300 spend (effectively 5%), and then try to close it again - see what they offer.

My old account migrated on the 14 July and with me the cash back disappeared. As we know they are investigating but I sent a complaint
to their customer service and within 2 hrs they phoned me back. They apologised and as a goodwill gesture they credited my account with my cash back rather than having to wait.
And as far as dealing with their overseas contact centre I have no issue and have always found them very professional and friendly.0 -
