I tried adding them on to my existing barclays secure account the website looks setup to add additional cards but it wouldn't go though

So we have to set up new BS user names and passwords for each of the Visa and Amex but we keep the same PIN we had for the MasterCard for both new cards :rotfl: where's the logic in that?
Now free from the incompetence of vodafail

i would have thought that won't be necessary...but might need to be patient while Barclaycard update their systems.

With regards to the £15 for spending £300, I am sure in the written communications it said on the next statement. Not that that means anything of course...

Has anyone been in the situation where refunds have been credited back to the Mastercard after it was closed? Do they still get processed to the account, or do the merchants have to refund to the new Amex or Visa instead?

I had this. A refund was credited back to my old MasterCard. It showed on my account eventually, but it took quite a while (a few weeks and a few phone calls).

Excellent, thank you. I did send a secure message to them asking the same thing, but this forum is always quicker! :)

My Hi5 is still there online today (affected by your statement date being different perhaps?)

Assuming that Barclaycard will take its time to issue replacement cards and expects customers to continue using their old card in the meantime after the terms are switched to 1/2% and 1%, well it's a Visa not an Amex, so acceptance issues notwithstanding, you can't earn the 1% straightaway. Yet Barclaycard won't improve the offer for Hi5 customers AFAIAA.

    (Am I missing something?)

my statement is the 1st of the month.
as it happens, my card is the one that preceded Hi5....slightly different terms, i understand.
they told me that my new cards were issued on 1st July, and that my existing card will work for 30days from that date.
on the website, all transactions on the card have this next to them when highlighted:

    "This transaction was made on:
    **** **** **** 1007
    which was cancelled"

from what Barclaycard have told me, the fact that the card now has an 'end date' generates the "cancelled".
all cashback accrued so far has now disappeared. i am assuming that as long as the card works, hopfully until 31st July, it will accrue cashback at 2% and 0.5%.

If it works the same as the World Mastercard transition it'll probably earn cashback at the Amex rate from now on.

I got 2% on my Mastercard (because of the double cashback offer) from the date of the migration until it was cancelled.
