    Anyone else found themselves automatically turning the card over for the security number, despite knowing full well it is on the front of the card !?

    Shouldn't be too pig headed & stubborn as to admit when I'm WRONG! Intended to cut up AMEX immediately, gave snotty responses to suggestions that this was silly.

    Yes, APOLOGIES Hooloovoo and Doshwater (& Reclusive46 who suggested I rethink) & anyone else. On Saturday I used it in Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons & Poundland, but got refused in Toys-R-Us.

    Would indeed be a total plonker if I didn't take full advantage, wherever possible, of 2% cashback. You were right and I was an eejit! Sorry.

    Also sent email confirming we'd also get the £15 bonus on £300 spend because we've had nothing about that, been told "yes" & starts counting from day we were "updated to new cards". Great, should qualify already then.
    Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

    Do you mean to say that your Barclaycard Amex card's contactless payment function did not work in a McDonalds restaurant?

    Correct. The first time I can understand for security reasons, making me enter my PIN. But the second time as well......

    It has a three digit code, but that could relate to the date the card was printed or anything.
