Amazon card is probably just going to be reissued as an Amex like all the other MBNA reward cards.

The Lloyds Avios duo and Capital One Classic extra are the only two reward cards that have no forex fees.

Ah I see. Well from the looks of it all, as disappointing as it is that we've lost up to 0.5% of our cashback and the various insurance things, we still have great cards overall. People probably closed their accounts when Egg went to Barclays and whatnot, but just shows that very occasionally loyalty might be worthwhile.

Of course, if ever there's a card that gives 1.5%+ cashback on beer and ponies, I'll be off like a shot :rotfl:

For those that are wondering when the £15 for 3 months promotion starts its from the conversion date (the day after your May statement date).

    From a secure message reply:

You will receive a £15 welcome bonus if you spend £300 in the first 3 months. Once you have hit your £300 spend, the £15 bonus is paid on you next statement.

Your account was migrated on 09/05/14 (my statement date is May 8). The period begins from this date and in order to avail the offer you must spend £300.00 in the firs three months which should be till your August statement.

Had my card less than an hour and I have already spent £300 to earn my £15. :)

Finally got my cards yesterday. Haven't tried them yet.

I can confirm the Android app is now working again with my new card details. It's a good job the account has both VISA and Amex, because the app requires a 16 digit card number to register it. Amex cards have only 15 digits, so the Barclaycard app wont work with an Amex-only account until Barclaycard have updated it.

I've not received the £15 welcome bonus offer in writing. Did you get the details in a letter, or is the offer on the website?

Is the spend amount the total spend from the two cards?

    Thanks.

I got the £15 offer in the initial letter (a couple of months ago) which first announced the changes to the card. No mention of it since however.

If you don't get the £15 then just send them a secure message to claim it. They will have no idea about who was offed it.

They don't even know if their a$$hole is punched or bored...

I've never seen any mention of this £15 thing.

Reading through the terms I can see why I was stung on the US Dollar transactions (web hosting, etc) - They nail you for a 3% fee. Way outweighs the cashback, so definitely stick to Paypal where possible for online stuff in dollars (Paypal is 0.5% if it's from US dollars and funded by your bank account or PP balance, for example).

Are you sure Paypal only charges 0.5% - Whenever I have used them before they convert into foreign currency at a very poor rate.
