There's nothing better than this account anyway, other than the American Express Platinum cash back account, which is marginally better (but not worth changing to).

    Cards both arrivd today.

Website shows £0 Cashback earned to date!!! (despite spending £££)
NO Mention or note of Double Cashback!

Oh and ALL of my 'tags' against expenditure (ie Fuel Business expense etc...) have ALL disappeared and been 'Reset' to things like 'Automotive' and 'groceries' ... B!003y Annoying:mad:!!!

    So
No Cash back, No Mention of Double cash back as promised and the website settings are all wrong...

Well that Is a world class performance from a world class company .. NOT!!!

Oh .. and they sent me another e mail last week saying my additional 'insurance' for cancelled events etc.. also is no longer valid with the new cards...:(
I am NOT a Woman! - its Overland Landy (as in A Landrover that travels Overland)

Better to be approximately right than precisely wrong.

At the £300 threshold now for the £15 payment. Can't remember if it was creditied on the next statement or after 3 months?

Had my first couple of Amex knockbacks already (at smaller retailers, so to be expected). It does provoke a reaction at least!

At what period do we need to spend the £300 over to receive the £15 ?

    Thanks

It's meant to be in "3 months", but there has been a fair bit of ambiguity about when the starting gun has been fired.

After a website glitch and an unhelpful staff member infuriated me with his clear lack of knowledge & bad/wrong advice, I got a problem sorted by a different person. One who demonstrated an ability to deliver the type of customer service (when there are problems of THEIR making, not mine) one should expect.

Barclaycard have given me £15 for my phone calls but I doubt they 'get' that this isn't about 'compensation' for glitches, things go wrong in life, just train the staff who are supposed to help properly. Still, I suppose banks are quick enough to 'charge' a customer for every little thing so satisfying to get my own back.

Our web account seems to be up and running today, finally. Previous cashback for last couple of months is showing, they sent us a letter confirming double cashback on both cards............................so if/when the cards EVENTUALLY arrive we should be sorted!

The AMEX will be cancelled, enough cards and can't be asked to trial & error all over the place. When double cashback on Visa ends I'll switch to my Capital One - it pays the same cashback and it will be my little protest at Barclaycard effectively chopping my cashback rate in half.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

Well that seems like a huge waste of cash back. Especially with Supermarkets and petrol stations.

I do not think you can cancel just the Amex part of the account.

Well, you can just cut up the card and ignore it. That's mostly the same thing. Although why you would do that and forget the 2% cashback is beyond me. Why are people bothered about carrying an "extra card"? I could understand if each one was the size and weight of a house brick.

I complained about my card being cancelled when I haven't received my new ones yet, and also that the Android app has stopped working until I get my new card numbers. They have given me another £10.

Tested the old card last night. It does still work. Funny definition of cancelled.
