I don't understand why it bothers anyone enough to waste time commenting on it!Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -
My online statements are truly confusing!
First off it states my direct debit payment for last statement(1st May) is not to the minimum.
3 things to this
1 its a direct debit which has gone out
2 its meant to be for the full amount
3 they appear to have chosen a figure £48 quid below my full payment to take via direct debit
Secondly I have no transactions showing since the 10th May when I started using the new cards on the 11th
No cashback showing on 1st may statement either - will they try claiming because i didnt pay the full amount? Or on time? if so do I just point them at the DD guarantee and arrange a new card?

I would have thought the best thing to do would be to let them crack on working everything out, and only contact them if your next statement is wrong.
That's my plan anyway. No point keep hassling them, it's not going to make it get put right any more quickly.0 -

Well as they've fixed most of my account now I have to disagree with the second half of your post.
Not being able to see any transactions from the 10th was the bigger problem to me, if I could have seen them I wouldn't have queried the £48 difference between last statement and DD as there was a refund in there that I had forgotten about.
So 1 and 2 sorted quickly by a short secure message to them.
As fro the Cashback - as long as it gets sorted I aren't that bothered on when it gets sorted0 -
Should I have got my new cards by now?0

Ah they're here. I wasn't sure what to do, so figured I might as well just keep on with them - I might order an Amazon card next time I genuinely want to buy something there (since that qualifies you for money off and I think possibly faster shipping for that order)
My statement arrived too, and one thing that caught me out is just how much they've been charging for foreign transactions (I have things like my US-based internet host billing to the card). I'd never really thought of that before - pretty sure the charges outweigh the cashback when it's used for that.
Edit: Actually I see no mention of the Amazon card any more. Maybe that was withdrawn too...0 -

Amazon card is probably just going to be reissued as an Amex like all the other MBNA reward cards.
The Lloyds Avios duo and Capital One Classic extra are the only two reward cards that have no forex fees.0 -

interesting, and fits with the general trend. i think that for serious spenders looking for Cashback/Rewards Amex is going to continue to strengthen it's position. Amex Cashback is always my first choice spending card:)0
