Barclaycard World MasterCard (Ex Egg Money) Being Replaced with Amex + Visa Combo

My annual cashback is paid in the March statement, so once that's done, I'm done with them methinks - no real reason to continue to mess about with them and their deciding whether they want to change my statement date each month. Can't be bothered with the hassle of waiting until June for £15.
Having read the updated T&Cs if you close the account before your annual cashback has been paid, it is classed as forfeited and they will not pay any accrued to date.
i thought the terms of the new account were that you could take your cashback in any month you choose?0 -
It is, but I'm talking about my last years cashback, and even if I could wait for the £15 for spending £300 in the first month, it wouldn't come into play until the first statement I would have thought. They seem to be getting sneakier all the time, I had to ask last year as they had 'forgotten' to add my £200 cashback last year.0

They seem to have forgotten to credit my cashback too, it was due on the 1st March. You're right something very sneaky is going on; probably in the hope of keeping us hanging on for cashback. Another complaint for this incompetent outfit.
I will be cancelling too, don't need 2 cards, particularly not the useless Amex . More chance of fraud too and better cashback available on other cards. All round too complicated and the £15 ain't worth waiting for. What idiot thought this would be a good idea ? Somebody who will be getting the sack in a few months time......0 -
Reading the threads it seems there was a letter posted which people were then using to to email Barclaycard about the changes, I can't seem to find it on the threads, could anyone post this for me?
Many thanks0 -
It was posted to everyone about 2-3 weeks ago along with the pamphlets about the new cards.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

Apologies Chameleon, i should have ben clearer in my post what i meant was not the letter barclaycard had ben sending out but that there seems to have been a reply/letter posted which people were then copying/using to send to Barclaycard complaining about the changes and some people seemed to have received compensation/offers?
Many thanks0 -
Oh I see. I don't recall seeing anything like that. Most people have just sent a message via the secure messaging portal and received a phone call or reply from a customer service agent within a couple of hours.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
