I'm rather pleased I read this thread.
I wasn't happy with the new deal to say the least, but if I add the £50 and double cashback sweeteners to the fact that I hadn't noticed the £15 bung, I've not done too badly really.
Hurrah for MSEAnd thanks!

Hope no-one minds if I ask - those of you that received the £50 as well as the double cashback - do you pay interest on the account? The reason I ask is that I've just been on the phone, and was told that I don't qualify for the £50 as I don't pay any interest on my account
That's fine if it's true, but if it's not true, I am going to be mighty cross!0 -

No, never have. In fact I hadn't even used the card since it was an Egg product until I cleared off some bills recently to BT to another card. This is why I didn't quibble when they only offered me £25 instead of pushing for the full £50, although I wish I'd at least tried now.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Seems like a blatant lie to me, as I always pay off the balance in full every month.0 -
Anyone got more than £50 and double cashback?0
-
Well Barclaycard complaints team got back to me today and quickly offered the double cashback for 6 months. I mentioned I wasn't happy about losing the insurance products that are currently offered and was asked whether I'd seen the Moneysavingexpert forums!!!
The advisor offered £50 credit as I was a loyal customer - he was quite clear that this was in no way compensation for the insurance products being offered.
He also offered £15 additional cashback if I spent £300 in the first three months - he seemed surprised when I told him I was already aware of this offer as it was mentioned in the original offer!!
He reiterated that if I was not happy with the dual cards after 3 months they would be able to move me onto a single card offering0
