Reject it - they'll come back with a better offer.
I've sent them a message this evening (less than an hour ago) and complained about the so called 'simplification'.
Said that I wasn't happy at the loss of the 1% rate and protection policies (I'm an ex-Egger).
Got a reply within a few minutes offering double cashback 2%/1% for 6 months - which I rejected, citing the temporary nature of the cashback extention and the loss of the protection policies.
Just had another reply adding the £50 goodwill credit as well as the 2%/1% cashback for 6 months, which I've now accepted to close the complaint case.
Not bad for 10 minutes worth of venting
This is impressive, but what exactly do you complain about? I'd like the double cashback and £50 goodwill gesture as much as the next man, but I don't feel I have a legitimate complaint and would feel strange trying to trump-up a whinge0 -
Hi
New here but but sent a message tonight and got the 2% Amex and £50 credit, was an old Egg Money 'Green' customer so not sure if that was the reason why.

If you still have your postal letter, if you look in the centre of the picture....that's where it quotes for mine.
I've to pay for the rest of my holiday accomodation in June which is £322...so that's getting done for that2 Tickets to Blackrock Masters Tennis:j0 -
Ahhhh damn, just applied for the Amazon card as I was buying something anyway and it says it can't give instant decision outside of office hours. Wonder whether this could potentially be my first declined card for several years but then I do already have an MBNA with a high credit limit.
ETA: Despite being an Egg customer since 2005, I've only used the Masterworld card for purchases a handful of times. I actually forgot it had a cashback value until recently as had used it for BTs  So, I'm guessing there's little point in me complaining to Barclaycard to try get an offer out of them?“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Were you spending a lot on the Barclaycard?
I'm slightly upset now to have received "only" £30 with no double-cashback. Have also been a green Egg Money card customer since 2006 I think and was usually spending ~£500-600 per month. After sending a secure message, I received a call from guy at the Indian call center who offered me £30, then was transferred to an "escalation center"(?) in UK, where a woman apologized again but didn't offer me anything more despite me saying that I am not exactly happy (I always stayed very polite... too polite?:p).0 -
my £50 has appeared on my account this morningProud to be a member of the Anti Enforcement Hobbyist Gang.:D:T0

I've just found out that the extra 12 month warranty I've enjoyed on electrical purchases of over £50 is just being cancelled at the end of this year.
Swine.
Any purchases already main will continue to see out their extended warranty beyond the card removal date. It says so on the back of my high 5 letter0 -

Considering the fact that you have been with us from a long time, I am able to tag an offer on your account with the help of which you will be able to earn double the rate of cashback for 6 months from the date the account migrates. If it resolves the matter to your satisfaction, may I request you to please ?reply? to this e-mail so that the necessary arrangements can be done to tag this offer on your account.
Then 15 mins later I got a 2nd email stating to ignore the previous email and now they offered:-
Considering the fact that you have been with us from a long time, I am able to credit your account with £50.00. If it resolves the matter to your satisfaction, may I request you to please ?reply? to this e-mail so that the necessary arrangements can be done to tag this offer on your account.
