They wont make a unique product just for you. Better off to ask for increased cashback for a period of time and/or a 1 time credit. Both of which they can do on the system.

Fired off a complaint as an ex-Egg Money customer. The real nub of this is the removal of the insurance perks - a quick offer of goodwill probably sees off the potential for complaints getting to the FOS.

TBH if it was not for this thread and the successes mentioned, I probably would not have bothered.

I tried to use the same partronising language in my complaint as they used in their letter.

When did the original egg card first start? I'm sure I've been with them well over 10 years.

I had one back in August 2000, but I was not one of the first. Cashback went 1% -> 0.5% -> 0.1% and the card from a pale green to a dark green IIRC.

Egg Money since October 2006 (think that was green to start then black when it went "world" then the current grey).

First transaction on my Egg Money was July 2005.

I had an Egg Card before that, first transaction February 2000.

I closed my Egg Card once I started using my Egg Money since it had better cashback.

the thread has evolved to include discussion of the 'High5' and other Cashback Barclaycards. apparently there are 6 different account types being 'migrated' into the new Barclaycard Cashback Duo.

I've typed my complaint in word, tried to paste into secure messaging bit it says I am using a character I shouldn't be. Have checked and rechecked but can't figure it out.
