Barclaycard World Mastercard. Have held the card in it's various forms for about 8 years now.0

ok, so you have been an Egg World customer?...i was coming up with a theory that is was the World customers that were being offered the deals, and not the 'High5' customers, but seems not...
i found them very very unhelpful yesterday.0 -
can you guys please let us know what cards you have...
neptcury?
cautiousjon?

I too was an Egg Money cardholder, now Barclaycard World MasterCard.
I just queried how the reduction in cashback rates and the removal of the insurance benefits is to my advantage as per the terms & conditions of the card.0 -
I am ex-Egg and have only been offered the 2% and the £15. So am hanging on for a bit. There were many, many phone messages from B'card when I put in my secure message, but I have said that I prefer secure messaging as I am slightly deaf. My complaint has now gone to Customer Services, and they are dealing with me by secure message.
They are actually being rather nice!
We'll see what happens, but I rather think not a lot to change the situation. I'll then be in the £300 club.
Does anyone have an opinion on how, having two cards versus one card, presumably with the same credit limits, will upset other credit card applications? I tend to take out a card if I have a specific purpose, eg I took out the Post Office card for the cashback and currency/overseas transactions; Laura Ashley for 10% off a big purchase and 2% off Laura Ashley purchases, and so on.
Surely having the extra Barclaycard card will affect my credit rating?0 -
it seems that the [ex-Egg Money]Barclaycard World customers are being 'looked after' slightly better by Barclaycard. and the £15 deal is specific to them. i had one of these, and was previously a big Egg Money fan.Jennifer_Jane wrote: »Does anyone have an opinion on how, having two cards versus one card, presumably with the same credit limits, will upset other credit card applications?
no effect. it will remain 1 account. just accessed via 2 cards.0 -
Think I'm gonna stick with the Amex card and see how it goes. Will be complaining to Barclaycard though. I miss Egg0

Oddly as an ex Egg World cardholder I have not had a letter at all about this yet - Read about it in the Telegraph today and then found this thread.
What is the £300 offer that pays £15? Without a letter and Barclaycards website not mentioning it at all I have no idea0 -
it will come, i am afraid.
just spend £300 and earn £15 for doing so, apparently.0 -

Thanks for the info. I've also just fired off a complaint. I'll let you know how I get on0 -
how is anyone doing who has the 'High5' card?
what have you managed to extract from Barclaycard?0
