Shame to read all this. I haven't received a letter yet, but I carry both the High 5 card and the World card. I use the high 5 for any large transactions, plus any small transactions, and then the world for everything in between. There's no chance they've ever made any money out of me. I wonder how they pull the high 5, if I've already been issued with an Amex and Visa card - send me another pair?

yes, it will be interesting if they issue with 4 new cards

I can't see two standalone accounts with two £15 back after spending £300 startup offers being allowed, though I might be surprised.

One possibility is the startup offer is made conditional on not already having had another Barclaycard Cashback account with a startup offer.

Another possibility is that those who already have a Barclaycard Cashback account and have additional accounts that would otherwise be migrated to Barclaycard Cashback are offered the option to:
    • have no new account and pay back any balance under the old terms and conditions, or
    • combine the credit limit and any balance with their existing Barclaycard Cashback account

Too late, they've found that one, that's 1% and ½% right now.
Where are people seeing the 1%/0.5%? Could you post a link please? Its possibly of course that based on your history on Amazon/cookies etc, or even a randomiser, that different people are receiving different offers on that page.

i like the idea of this, but i would be very pleasantly surprised.

i am already thinking to further boost my BT limit with Barclays as a result of the change coming, having bagged as much 2%Cashback as i can in the meantime.

Could it be based on Prime membership? I see the 2%/1% offer! I have prime membership. No way of telling of that's the case or not but may be worth checking just incase

are 2 Loyalty Points worth £2 on Amazon?
and then 1% on spend elsewhere....

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/cobrandcard/marketing.html

that's the page from searching Amazon Credit Card.

It looks like you get 2 points for every £1 spent at amazon and 1point for every £ spent elsewhere. These points are added up, when you earn 1000 points you get a £10 voucher to spend at amazon

    The site says....

The value of your spend is converted into Loyalty Points. When you earn 1,000 Loyalty Points, you will automatically be emailed a £10 Amazon.co.uk Gift Certificate to be spent on what you like.

doesnt appeal to me much. focusing on getting the best deal out of Barclaycard, and the prospects of complaining to them & getting something out of it, does.

Not sure what they will give you, worth a go though. For me amazon vouchers would be well spent at christmas
