Found the link - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=478824 -for alternatives to crisps - they are not all low fat though!

As for biscuits - I only buy things that I don't like for them to take - wagon wheels, penguins - they love, but I don't like them at all - not even when I need a choc fix!!!
If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.

Hi scooper, sorry missed your original post. I'm doing calorie counting. On page one of this tread there should be a link to a site you can join which is good. You can input your details, height, weight etc and it will tell you how many calories you are allowed. As for what you can eat I mainly eat normal family healthy meals but reduce my portion size and calorie count everything. I've upped my fruit and veg and cut down on crisps, chocs etc but I haven't cut them out completely. As to exercise I only exercise from home and walk as much as I can.

congratulaltions, well done, you will feel fantastic on holiday!

Made a batch of tomato sauce today and then sliced aubergine and potato on. I poured on a mixture of beaten egg and natural yoghurt and baked in oven for 20 mins, and amazingly for me it turned out ok.. I made them in individual little dishes so I can freeze some as if I do a big one every one turns up their noses and some gets thrown out which I am trying to avoid now.

Have stolen some ideas from peoples weekly menus, I have never planned in advance before. I tend to open freezer and decide on spur of moment what to do but then veg goes off, doesnt get used and gets thrown out:o I am def going to try it now, have ordered box of fruit and veg today and will plan out menu whilst OH is on nights, stick it up and stand back and see who moans first:rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm not personally following a diet, just trying to eat more healthily and not snacking on biscuits etc.

My (fairly static) weight was 88kg. I'm trying to weigh myself once a week on a tuesday, so will find out tomorrow if my new found resolve is leading to weight loss.

I do feel more in control at the moment, which is good as I've carried this weight for around 12 years since having my children. So it's pretty well established!

I enjoy cardio vascular exercise, and that will be so much better if I'm a few kilos lighter.

I'd like to join the july challenge too please - lost 9.5 lbs during the June challange but I didn't get a yellow box on the chart

I'm really sorry - not sure how I missed that, and unfortunately I can't change the chart now we're on a new thread.

Well done for achieving the target anyway :j :T

and I am really enjoying it! Its quite nice to start cooking from scratch again (although I made cod fishcakes last night and they were rank!). I have just made a quorn chilli and it is yum. Its nice being on a diet and not feeling hungry all the time.

I braved the gym today and lasted half an hour. I really didn't push myself at all but I am hoping to do the step class tomorrow night (the thought of doing it is probably worse than doing it but I need to MOTIVATE!).

By the way, CONGRATULATIONS VICTORY! That is an amazing achievement, and you are giving a lot of us inspiration. Do you get nice comments from friends/family when you haven't seen them in ages?

Any many congrats to the other losses/maintains that have been posted.

Lois - even though I started my diet Saturday, I am doing it alone so shall I post on Weds as being my weigh in, is that right? Thanks! x
