  • I have just weighed myself and I have maintained this week. Quite happy that it isn't a backwards step.

You could see if you have gained first and if so then use it as a bargaining tool with yourself, you know what not to do so next week do all the right things, when it gets hard just say to yourself as I did-'It is only for 7 days or 4 days or whatever is left before the next weigh in when you feel you can't go on, I used to tell myself that and anyone can do it for x amount of days, willing myself to go on and when weigh day arrived always felt elated that I had kept going because the loss outweighed the difficult times...

Thank you for that - I will take it on board. I feel better the fact I maintained than gained as usually I would carry on being bad. I will try to use the method you use and see if it encourages me to keep at it.

Hi everyone. I lost 1 lb this week. I am 1lb away from breaking into the next stone. Its so frustrating, this is the second week I've tried to break it still never mind. Just been trying to catch up on all the posts. Well done to all the losers and maintainers. Victory you had an eventful day, crikey, 2 mad men and 1 mad woman! Hope you and anyone else with health problems are feeling better soon. Emptypocketz well done for plucking up courage to weigh. Welcome to all the newbies. Have a good week everyone.

    Morning all

I weighed in this morning and have lost 3/4 of a lb. I'm a bit disapointed as I've exercised most days and not deviated from ww. However I seem to recall from the last time I lost weight that my body does the same as Suggs and I loose virtually nothing for a few weeks and then have a big loss (thats what I'm hoping anyway;) )

emptypocketz, well done on the maintain - I always comfort eat when I have cold too
Brighton belle, hope you feel more like yourself soon, in the mean time have a hug:grouphug:

Thanks for the great advice victory. I know the flylady theory of "I can do anything for 15 minutes" has worked lots in my life so looking at dieting that way is a great idea. ;)

...lainie Thanks for your post about the mycoprotein. Normally I'm quite an avid googler but I must admit that I'd overlooked it until your post, and I've found the Quorn Uk website. It has some fabulous sounding recipes etc etc whch I shall be perusing and sorting out some to try :j Ajax when you get time, have a look and tell us what you think to the site, thanks ...
