Thnak you all for your kindness - I am really pleased I have managed to loose any weight at all.

Am playing tennis tomorrow night for the first time in ages - will be useless but hopefully will burn off abit more.

I have got to get some proper digital scales aswell so I can monitor this properly.

    Afternoon all
Went to do my weekly WI but the bateries in my scales have given up so no WI until I get to the shops.

Played Club Championship yesterday, 36 holes in the heat - that is nearly 8 hours walking around a golf course. Felt totally drained afterwards and played complete rubbish. So because I felt so bad I had to have a glass of wine. So
guess what Tallgirl had 8 glasses of wine this week and lost her challenge

LydiaSophia I hope you did better than me. How did you get on I see you have lost this week so welldone for that.

I will try harder this week by going to the gym tonight and as I am not staying away this week it should be easier.

    Take care all.

    Hi all,

Glad you're having a good day. After a rainy start it's actually quite nice over here.

Lainie I know the programme you're talking about. It's the BBC's truth about food

Thanks for reminding me about it. It has some really valuable stuff.

Well done starlight, lydia, petrichor, kyle and victory..

Victory - don't worry too much about losing another few pounds. It's a matter of fine tuning your calorie intake until you've reached a point where you get sufficient calories for your daily needs. Think of those few extra lbs as your safety net for when you might increase your cals and also gain a pound or two. (besides - It probably is stress. I lost 2 stone in 5 weeks a couple of years ago because of really severe stress.)
I'm having a problem with my eyes :( I keep coming across a word that starts with 'hous.....' but then I lose focus! Are you people using bad language and swearing in the thread? :D
    Erlqueen :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: good one.

I'm off now to give DS a bath and walk the dog. Back later with this week's menu plan.

...ajax As our expert on all things quorny (pun intended :rotfl: ) I have a nice recipe for lamb and butter bean casserole, would it be possible to cut the quorn lamb things into chunks and use them in a similar way to fresh lamb, in other words will the chunks stay chunky or just dissolve?...

... wow.. never tried anything like that petrichor but the lamb grills are quite sturdy so my best guess is that they'll remain together. If you let me know how it goes I'll try it here too in the slow cooker... you can be my giunea pig :)

Ajaxgeezer - I would be grateful if you could tell me the vitamins + ingredients or any quorn products you may have , after reading alot on here about them i have become interested in trying them as some of them sound really nice , also what are they like price wise?

... lol ok Lainie, I'll try to give a breakdown on a couple a day. Unfortunately QUorn can be quite pricey but Tesco usually have great bargains on something or other - a couple of weeks ago it was a pack of 6 sausages for 79p, now it's a couple of types of burgers at £1 a pair (quarter pounder type thickness)

Well Peeps, we have just had our first experience of quorn and it's a kjdhrf1.giffrom all of us.

I browned some smokey red pepper sizzlers, put them in a very tasty home made tomato and mushroom sauce served with wholewheat pasta.

I'm certainly looking forward to trying some more :j :j

I'll try the lamb and butter bean casserole in the near future ajax and let you know how it goes.

Thanks all you lovely children of the quorn ;) Not so weird eh!

This week's menu's are as follows:

Monday: Gammon, farmhouse vegetables, mashed potato & gravy
Tuesday: garlic & herb chicken, low fat chips, peas & gravy
Wednesday : HM chicken curry & rice
    Thursday: Spaghetti Bol.
    Friday: Sausages, beans & potatoes
Saturday: veg stir fry & noodles

OH is on night shift from Wednesday and we're off on our hols on Sunday so next week's menu plan will be up in the air depending on what's happening with the rest of the family.

I've decided to only eat when I'm hungry and not calorie count for the next few weeks and start afresh when we come back as I really don't seem to be getting anywhere at the minute. I've already got plans for my exercise. I can't seem to get to the gym very often so I'm putting my monthly planner to better use. ..... I've now got space for planned exercise every day depending on what shift my husband is working as well as the above menu plans, so for example this week looks like this:

    Monday: walk dog
    Tuesday: gym
    Wednesday: walk dog
    Thursday: walk dog
    Friday: Walk Dog

Saturday and Sunday are left free to spend time with my DS. I felt it might work better if I've already got an "appointment" set up in the monthly planner.

    What do you guys think?

oh, oh quick post 'cos I finish work at 4!!

Kat - I'll check the choc tonight when I get the new password. Can you give me the brand of chocolate? 28g of plain dark standard choc is 7 sins.

I usually buy green and black's 70% cocoa dark choc, but this one is Cadbury Bourneville Deeply Dark 60% cocoa. syns for either of those would be very helpful. thanks. Also, any idea how many syns in a serving (a tsp?) of tesco low fat vegetable spread?? (ie tesco own-brand flora lite!!)
Oh and one more, how many in a glass of wine - red/white/rose??
thank you SO much!!!! xxx :) thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

going to a chinese buffet tomorrow and cant decide if it should be a green day (lots of rice and veg) or a red day (lots of meat and veg - i do so love duck and rarely get it elsewhere!!) any advice??

mmm delly ur meals sound delish!!

Thanks for the water info Lainie! Certainly worth remembering.
