    well done tallgirl :j :j :j

suggs yes I fully agree with your what you did last week affects the following week theory....it must be because I lost 3 lb out of nowhere and you lost 5 lb in a week last week so there has to be something to it...
The carrot cake..... there has to be on google some other cake that is less intricate and I have been told cheat wise that waitrose surpasses itself for freshly baked low fat carrot cake in the bakery section, sublime apparently!!

ajax NO thanks from me on the before and after pics, a good idea but not my thing...

Was just thinking... with so many new peeps, people looking for inspiration, whether the real stars of the show (yes you, Suggs, Victory, Petrichor et al) could post some before and after pics if they are game, and if that is allowed on here?

Behave yourself, we want to encourage people to lose weight, not scare them to the hills :rotfl: :rotfl:

seriously I have done a slideshow type thingy, as helped by Delly, how you post post it and even if you can are other matters, and to be fair I only did it for me, and I hardly think you would like to see a bloke in his boxers :)

I did write my story a few months ago, after a few of the ladies asked very nicely for me to write it. I just searched and found it, so if you would like to read it, I have added a link to it in my signature and also HERE

    I hope it helps :)

Hi all. It was great to read your story Suggs. I only joined the LW thread in May and I knew you had done remarkably well but to read your story was very inspirational. I too have lost serious weight in the past (and put it back on again!) so I totally understand where you are coming from.

I had a great weight in today - i lost 4 lb. Not really done anything different this week so I guess it is similar to other people's experience of weight loss just evening out over time as I lost 1.5 lbs last week and was not so enthused about it. Total weight loss now 65lbs or 4 stone 9 lbs.

On a slight aside, I do find mini-milestones are very motivating. We have the target of 5lbs for the July challenge, but then i try to reach the next 10lbs of loss, or the next half stone of loss, or down into the next stone of weight. Almost every week I achieve one of these mini-targets and it is very good for my motivation. If this is not clear i will clarify - Next week, if I lose 1 lb, I will have lost 30Kg in total. If I lose 2 lbs, i will move down into the next stone in weight, I am 5lbs off 5 stone weight loss etc etc.

Before I go, I meant to post my menu for this week:

Thursday - salmon, prawn and avocado salad
Friday - Fish in sauce, new potatoes, green beans, baby corn
Saturday - vegetable curry and couscous
Sunday - lamb shanks, roast potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots
Monday - not sure (away on business)
Tuesday - jacket potato, beans & cheese
Wednesday - cajun chicken, roast veg, SW chips (which means Thursday will be roast vegetable pasta bake!) :)

Errmmm well I do agree with myself, but I was more along the lines that you were now maintaining? and last week caught up with you? How is maintaining going? is it working out? Im dreading it :o
Thanks for the hint with Waitrose, just want Mrs Suggs to have a great Birthday, its a week Sunday, poor thing has my children that day too.

Well Done Tallgirl:j on both counts, keep up the good work.

Well I stepped on the scales at Boots and can now be happy to report a 2lb loss, so I have dropped through a stone barrier and I presume am 6lb away from target :D Four weeks till the holiday :j

I keep looking at all those menus for the week and WOW!! what a choice, Lois' Lamb sounds lovely as does Delly's rice, what is marigold stock? is that made from old rubber gloves? :P

You and me use the same sort of mint targets then efrieze :) As i say, every little target helps, fingers crossed for your 1lb loss 30kg is a fantasic result as will be the 5stone 4lbs after that :D So how are you going to treat yourself?

In fact does anyone have a reward lined up for hitting either the mini targets or the goal weight? Victory did you? Petrichor, what about youself? (a date with Rafa Nadal ;) )I remember a radley handbag been mentioned once or twice, cant place the name to the handbag though :) Mine is tied to a couple of things, firstly its after the holiday and secondly If I get my quarterly bonus at work ;)

    have a good day all
