newlywed WELL DONE:j :j :j
I, in the last week because of H pressure and the nutritionalist have been upping slowly my calorie intake, just a little mind, just the odd extra cracker and have got a huge fetish on healthy baxters soup especially the smoky bacon pasta one and minestrone, well no all of them love them all:D where as before I would go for the ones that had no more than say 150 calories for the entire jar, I now go for the ones that have maybe 200 or a little more....
So lovely peeps was in tears today (with joy of course;) ) when I paid my 50 p for the boots scales to reveal a 3 lb weight loss :j :j :j have no idea how as I have just explained the calorie rise but there it is in black and white, 3 lb loss, H was with me at the time and he was even more surprised than me plus a little perturbed as he thought as I that the losses were over and maintaining was on the cards....
petrichor well done :j :j
erlqueen Felt like you many times, sometimes the motivation is not enought to get by with.... I personally have had as many have terrible bad days when all that I can think of is food and eating copious amounts of it, that this is a punishment and I am stopping it, that it is not worth it, etc etc but the truth is it is, I have been to the docs today and have it confirmed that I am suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, I did the weight loss for health reasons and I am healthier (o.k I know I am diabetic and arthritic:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ) but I feel better about myself, my insulin has come right down, the thrill of going into any shop and standing there looking at the clothes knowing that I am not wasting my time in the shop as it will fit me, gives me a buzz everytime I do it, the thought of the kids being happy with their mum able to go out with them and not have to hide, to interact with them, anything the last 7 months has put me through is worth the rewards at the end.
I would advise you to think why you started the weight loss in the first place, what made you commit to it, look into the future and visualize yourself happier and slimmer, not that I condone it:rotfl: :rotfl: but if you cannot find any motivation within you then take some time off it and assess it in say a weeks time, will eating and not loosing weight make you happy?0 -
Had my weigh in this morning and have lost 0.5 pounds. I was a little disapointed at first because I ate all the right things in the right amounts and honestly expected to lose a little more!
However my SW consultant reminded me that I have lost 7.5 pounds in the 2 weeks previous to this and perhaps my body is just taking a little maintenance period this week.!
So I will carry on with what I am doing and hope for a little more impressive figure (in more ways than one!) next week!
Well done Victory - you are an inspiration to us all!:T :T
All the best

((((HUGS)))) Erlqueen - dont know it you have thought about this but is it that time of the month
I know that I get terribly low around that time and eat far too much then feel even worse. You have managed to get 6 lbs off in 6 months and kept it off which is still in the right direction. Try not to be so hard on yourself.
Well I went to meet a friend for coffee this morning - but I took my own herbal tea bag and had my own tea with a sweetener in it as otherwise I find they taste like dishwatermanaged to stick to my new bikini diet so far ( but it is only day 2 )
Managed 1/2 hour on my ski machine last night and Im going to try to do the same later as it has started to rain here so I dont think I will be going out for a jog.
Smoked Mackrel & Salad for dinner tonight with Melon for pudding.
Im popping over to my Mum & Dads soon so will see if I can blag a calorie counter book from my Mum
Have a good day everybody :hello::cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -
Evening All
Had to stay overnight Sunday due to early meeting today but I ate dinner at home and just went to bed no visit to the bar. Could not WI this morning as away but will try to do it tomorrow morning at 6am before I leave (if i remember).
Anyway today is Monday and I have my head to head Challenge with Lydia. I am really up for it and as I am going to the gym in a mo I will eat about 8pm and not have any wine. Going to stay away Tuesday night but not meeting up with anyone so should be able to stick to one glass of wine.
Victory well done for the 3lb, see you did that without trying too hard to you can let go now and just eat healthy. I think you have managed to change your eating habits which is what diets are all about really. Long term or they will not work.

:j :j Well done Maniac (6lbs  ) Kyle Newlywed Victory and Marion (yes Marion you too!) on those great losses :j :j ...
...oops a daisy and lambanana :j ...
...Come here Erl and have a cuddleI have felt like that so many times I've lost count and it does make you feel so disheartened, BUT, those feelings do pass - honestly!! Look at it this way - you could have gained weight continuously for 6 months but you didn't :j No doubt quite a few folk here (includng me) have been to classes where the Leader/Consultant has been a complete waste of space, when compared to previous experiences. Do the same as me and get your motivation from this thread, and don't try avoiding us either!! I hope that by now you're feeling a tad better

Hello there!
Well i think i'm going to finally get into SW this week, I've been meaning to for ages but i've been to busy. does anyone have any helpful tips for success on SW??
Been trying to be good but eating out/nights at the pub with friends haven't been helping. Went to a BBQ yesterday and had lots and lots of salad and only one glass of wine at the pub after a lot of juice....slowly weaning myself off wine!!
Well done everyone on fantastic losses....retired lady,victory,petrichor,newlywed....and anyone else i didnt mention!!
Ooh and extra motivation - i got the job I went for last wed...so I am a very happy bunny and really want to be on track SW-wise by the time I start!
Keep smiling everyone!! K xxxMoneysavinghopeful :rotfl:0 -

... yes, stick to it and be strict. It is fair with you if you are fair with it - i.e. you can have your large-ish glass of wine a day but don't "forget" to count those odd one or two syns which can crop into a day. For the first week it will be daunting with free foods, HEa, HEb, syns etc, but it does work if you stick to it and you can eat an extraordinary amount if you want to. But don't kid yourself that you are doing it properly if you are not.
This is the voice of experience unfortunately.0 -
ahoy! can i join in please?
since i started eating healthier foods ive started to eat more, gah! ive noticed weight slowly creep on over the past year, and instead of wanting to lose 21lbs i now want to lose 26! couple this to not being able to afford a gym membership and my bike being stolen (excuses, excuses :P), ive not done very well on the old exercise, and believe after reading the majority of this thread that this is a good place for me to becomping sporadically since 14.07.07
