Aw......cheer up Ajax :) Try this recipe - it has toffee flavour muller light, but I'm sure you can get toffee in other brands, maybe Tesco? (Or are they not suitable for veggies either?) The recipe is really simple to make, but delicious *licks lips*

p.s. the link takes you to a post with several recipes - the banoffee one is towards the end. By the way, the Malteser freezer is good too.

. ..... while I was out, I went to Tesco... and they do toffee flavoured yogs which are syn free on SW. Yayyyy!!!.

Thanks for the recipe LL, and if I can find a veggie substitute to gelatine I'll be trying BB's as well!!

Lois - the Olympic Challenge is a make money on top of your usual earnings from anything challenge really ( includes matched betting, Ebaying, Amazon & Green Metropolis, Quidco, Car Boot Sales, extra overtime that yould not normally have done, mystery shopping, selling old mobiles, opening a new bank account and getting cashback, daily clicks - anything that is on top of what you would normaly earn ). It started off a while ago and the second one is due to start next weekend over on debt free wannabe. You can go for Bronze which is £1000, Silver which is £2000 and Gold which is £4000 I think there is also a Platinum level but that is waaayyyy out of my league. The challenge runs from 14th July for 12 weeks so ends on 6th December. Anybody can join and like this thread you get loads of support as well as hints and tips. Im starting to worry that I have set my goal of Silver too high but we will see how it goes. I am going to put a few things on Ebay tonight so they end just at the start of the challenge to get me started. You will be more than welcome to join in :)

ajaxgeezer - Im sure I have seen vegetarian gelatin in Tescos ( will have a look next time I am in ;) )

hmmm well is has started to rain here and I was going to go out for a run later ( DD even offered to come out with me ) so I have a ski type excercise machine doubled up as a coat stand at the moment which I WILL get out later if it doesnt brighten up  I have cut the grass so thats a bit of excercise...... right :o

ps - have just thought, the Olympic Challenge has nothing to do with excercise unless you can get somebody to sponsor you :)

    :)

Thanks for the explanation. DH and I have been doing something similar - we call it the windfall fund, and the proceeds are going towards our holiday in Vegas next spring, in addition to the £2 coin savings. Any lottery or premium bond wins go into the fund, and my proceeds from ebay will too. All in all, the fund is well over £1,000. That started off with a Martin Lewis tip that resulted in £100 from Barclays simply for opening an account with them :D .

... darn, I did an Olympic challenge bronze and didn't even realise it. Matched betting is the one, whoever invented that is owed a pint by me. I haven't quite run out of bookies yet, but will take it back up when the footy restarts :)

    Hi Ajax,
gutted to have let you down - didn't even think about the gelatine and had no idea about mullerlight grrr.
Delighted to then read you've sourced some yoghurts :j and sounds like there is vegi gelatine out there somewhere. Recon I'll try some of the other recipes though too.

(Not sure I agree that matched betting is a doddle! Can't get me head round it dispite reading the directions 3 times! )

Hi BrightonBelle - it took me ages to understand matched betting but one day it suddenly clicked - dont give up and dont do anything before checking it on the newbies thread first ;)

Why does my Nana always have a house full of chocolate and sweets  as soon as we arrived she handed DD & I a large bar of chocolate :p but I was good and told her I am on a bikini diet :D

    Evening all

I thought I was on the wrong thread for a moment there, with the talk of matched betting! ;)

Well, it's been a lovely weekend here, not a drop of rain for three days, so I hope everyone else has been lucky too. It's forecast to change tomorrow, but it was nice while it lasted.

I was in Costco yesterday and they were giving away free samples of Rainier cherries, and I have to agree, they are very tasty. I didn't buy any though - £5.99 for a small container  . We've got a cherry tree in the garden and the fruit is lovely and all the better for being free! :D

    Have a good week everyone.

    Evening everyone:hello:

Thankyou to all who helped on my target dilemma. I think I agree that any target is hard to keep if you take your eye off the ball ... I don't know whether to try to loose the next half stone ( and make my self miserable doing it:confused: ) when I can now fit into size 12 comfortably:D

It didn't help winning 2 bottles of wine at DS's summer school fayre yesterday:rotfl: :rotfl:

Also cleaned out kitchen cupboards, throwing away 3 bags of crap I'd hoarded ( take away containers etc) And there lurking in the back of one was a big container of Terry's chocolate orange assortment flavours:eek: Still not sure how I forgot chocolate in the cupboard:o But now Half have been eaten:mad: I sabotaged my own target this week...

Got soaked this pm at a footie tournament for other DS. Just got home before thunder storm...then I wanted more chocolate:o Did resist and made a chicken roast dinner with SW roasties which were very nice. Gonna go to bed now tho cos the choccie is shouting my name very loudly! Cant even put some in DS's lunch box as it's not classed as healthy enough:rotfl:

    Nite nite

Oh and if anyone is interested in IMing then let me know, I'm on hotmail too. Starting to think that's another thing we all have in common:rotfl:
