...~evanesco~ Sorry to read about your gain this week, is there a particular problem or is it a general thing? Do you have something to plan for such as a holiday, birthday etc that can keep you motivated? I know it can be so difficult at times but it will come right and you'll be glad you kept going
...
Not really, I did see a post on the WW boards where someone was complaining that they had put on 6lbs over their start weight and when asked how long they'd been doing WW replied '3 years'. That has motivated me big style, I don't wanna be that person, I already did that by stopping WW and ending up 1 stone over my previous start weight. It is purely motivation and bad habits, when I'm good, I'm very good, and when I'm nawty, well, you get the picture. We do meal plan, and now, TBH, we're spent up, so there really will be no more drinking or takeaways this month!!0 -
Well done Juststarting on resisiting the lure of Pizza Hut a little, its a great step and congratulations on the new job whats the role?
Thanks Suggs it's nursery teacher starting in September with a managerment role thown in for good measure. At least I won't be sat at home thinking about food all day. My weakness then becomes the journey home, I will need to make sure I have healthy snacks in the car, fruit of dried fruit to nibble on.0 -
juststarting wrote: »:jFeel pleased with myself today. I got a new job yesterday after a full year of trying and as a celebration we went out to Pizza hut. Yes I had pizza but rather then the 4 slices I would normally eat I had two and ate them slowly and really enjoyed them. I don;t feel guilty about it, it was my celebration. Been good today not snacking. It really is all about life style change for me and not 'Dieting'.
Hello to all the new comers. Everyone is really friendly on here and has given me some really good advise, so welcome to the weight lose train it may not be an express but we get there in the end.
Congratulations js :j :j on getting the job and enjoying your celebration meal :T

I have lost 5lb so far which is good going for week one:j . I always loose loads in the first few weeks (probably water).
I just wanted to ask a quick question. I like to do some excercise in the evening but wanted to know is it better for me to do it an hour before or an hour after my evening meal or does it not matter?
Thanks"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,

Ajax, yep Suggs is right my name gives away my beloved team:o I will stick to them through thick and thin, that's if we even start this season
Petrichor, Victory I don't usually eat before weigh in but last night I was starving. I ended up gaining 2lb:mad: Everyone in class was saying how well I'd done, having been away 3 weeks but I was gutted!!
I'm considering changing my target weight, how do other people work out what theirs is going to be??I set one and before I went on holiday I would have been 1/2 lb less than it but I decided to change it to a lower one. Now I'm wondering if I set it too low and would have a problem maintaining it if I've set it too low???( DOes that make sense?
)

Thanks victory - trouble is I'd eat them all probably - so best avoided I think - low fat spread version or not
This weekend will be difficult. going to sister's for dinner on Sunday and asked us to bring dessert - so have splashed out and bought Weight watchers desserts. She used to do WW so will be fine with that and we'll still be being good (ish). But the bits in between when we are at home and baking stuff the cupboard will be difficultworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

I think any weight is difficult to maintain if you take your eye off the ball and let all the bad habits creep back in and go back to how it was...it has to be a life change, the treats are that, every so often treats rather than usual every day habits, learn what worked for you on the weight loss, what you really enjoyed to it, keep it up along with exercise and maintaining should not be the hardest thing...0 -
Hi all
Did anyone watch Jonathan Ross tonight? He interviewed Gok Wan, who came across really well to me, as someone who hasn't seen any of the 'How to look good naked' series. I was really surprised to learn that he used to be 10 stone heavier than he is now! You wouldn't think so to look at him.

Hi LL,
Yep I saw it. He looks fab now. Great that he was so honest about it all too. Just read the chart and all the amazing losses, wow! After weighing myself on Wed, and going to aquafit, I was sure I would be in for a nice surprise and thought I would weigh even less at my weigh in on Thurs.
Well I did have a surprise and it wasn't nice. I put on my jeans (lethal - don't do it unless you always wear them to get weighed) and their scales said I put on 2lbs!! Gutted wasn't the word, in fact I managed to be awful yesterday, had chips, chocolate, the lot and feel thoroughly ashamed today so I am straight back on the wagon today.
It's amazing how bad you can feel when someone says you weigh more than you think, isn't it. Even though I actually feel thinner, trousers aren't popping open any more, it really knocked my confidence. I thought I would continue and show them next week, but then I went and ate that yesterday. Feel like somethings a bit wrong with me, why can't there be as much help to stop overeating as there is to stop smoking!
Sorry for the moaning post. Just needed to offload, hubby won't want to hear as he so rightly says 'you never stick to it, why should I believe you will do it this time?' I know that sounds harsh for him to say, worst thing is he's usually right - but not this time! I'll let you know later how my days been, can't let you all down now can I?
Take care all,
bbxIf you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0
