Cheers. Yeah the cherries aren't really white as such -kinda a creamy colour, occasionally with a slighly pinky tinge. So they look like they aren't ripe. But they have a lovely delicate honey like flavour. They don't even stay in the local shop for a day apparently - they fly out the door!

They are from america and damage really easy in heavy rainfall so they are hard to find and expensive

..... MORNING !!!!!!! Byker is a place up there in the distant north-east, Pet ... immortalised by those two twerps PJ and Duncan, aka Ant and Dec in the rather poor TV show Byker Grove.

Byker is part of Newcastle (a great place by the way) - and only people from Newcastle have the right to call themselves a Geordie! (Don't go insulting [strike]a macka[/strike] someone from Sunderland by calling them geordie ;))

Hi newlywed and welcome to our thread :j It would appear to me that you know how to eat healthily so it's just (I say just!) down to willpower, once the pounds start to come off you'll find that your willpower will grow because you won't want to ruin all the good work, and that time will soon come. I can't trust myself to have just a 'little' of something as a treat either, so I find that by not having any at all is the best way. Regarding making sponge cakes a recipe was posted here a while back by...

...Victory I remember you saying that the local children would come to your door for those cakes, perhaps it will help newlywed. Thanks for that recipe yesterday for Thai chicken :T . Lucky you re the football tickets, I seem to remember you winning something like this a couple of months ago...

...~evanesco~ Sorry to read about your gain this week, is there a particular problem or is it a general thing? Do you have something to plan for such as a holiday, birthday etc that can keep you motivated? I know it can be so difficult at times but it will come right and you'll be glad you kept going :D ...

...Hi julie and Welcome:j At the start of this thread you'll find links to various sites that you can browse for ideas and plans which will be especially if you haven't done this before. Take your time and don't rush, just find something that will suit you and tie in with your lifestyle. Feel free to ask anything as someone here will be able to point you in the right direction. Most essentially - stay with us :T ...

My DH keeps emergency supplies in his work vehicle - his excuse is that as he spends so much time on the road he might get marooned somewhere and need sustenance...!

  • :jFeel pleased with myself today. I got a new job yesterday after a full year of trying and as a celebration we went out to Pizza hut. Yes I had pizza but rather then the 4 slices I would normally eat I had two and ate them slowly and really enjoyed them. I don;t feel guilty about it, it was my celebration. Been good today not snacking. It really is all about life style change for me and not 'Dieting'.

Hello to all the new comers. Everyone is really friendly on here and has given me some really good advise, so welcome to the weight lose train it may not be an express but we get there in the end.

yes suggs and petrichor I did win in the ballot one wembley football ticket a few months back so feel fantastically lucky to have got 2 tickets this time and to win again, even thinking of flying back off hols early to go to the match, yes I know pure madness:rotfl: :rotfl:

ajax NEVER took to quorn sausages, they do not brown and look insipid and the slices of pretend bacon quorn fashion were horrible;)

julie WELCOME any advice, help and support is waiting for you on this fab thread

newlywed yes petrichor is right, the kids do come to the door for my fairy cakes but I do not know how to make them diet friendly (well I mean never made them with splenda) so here goes and adapt to your own....3 eggs, 6/6/6 oz of sugar butter and self raising flour , use low fat spread like anchor or anything suitable for baking and you can replace the sugar for splenda but have not done it, for the kids I add choc chips or hundreds and thousands or the silver balls but do not advice that for dieter.... gas mark 7 for 12/14 mins

I went out for lunch today and finding it hard to decide H decided for me and ordered a panini with bacon, I cannot seem to work out the calories, the panini I am reckoning 250 and the bacon the same ,so I have worked it out to be 500 calories, is that too much or not enough? Anyway I realise I am going to have to drop some food for the rest of the day to make up for the high lunch calorie just was trying to work out how many...

petrichor NOw you have reached goal weight as myself are you going to count calories and divide them per meal throughout the day? What I mean is I was speaking to a friend who works on the basis of 1,500 calories a day (says that suits her) so it is 250 brekkie and lunch, 500 dinner, 100 mid morning snack, 100 afternoon snack leaving 300 to play with...
