firstly well done. how on earth did you manage to lose 10 stone in just over a year. i have 6 stone to lose and cant imagine ever getting there. my mobility is severly restricted so besides short walks all exercise is out. i know i should be thinking in terms of small chunks of weight lose rather than the whole 6 stone but it is just so much to contemplate

Hi homealone, Firstly thanks for your comments, secondly sorry for the late reply, I have been at work today in a design meeting, so not even been to the gym. Thirdly You can and you will do it :)

I echo totally what petrichor, Ajaxgeezer and victory have said, and to be honest its the only way I have managed to lose the weight. Break it down into smaller chunks and make it managable, its a journey and along this journey we might fall off once in a while, but as long as we get back up, dust ourselves down and re start the journey, (We join the Day one club here for that ;)) then we can continue on the route to less-weight-ville

I would never have planned to lose 10 stone in the period of time I have, I purely aimed for 5 initially, in small steps, then I aimed for 7, then to break a big milestone (went under 20stone :D) and now its about 9 lb short of my target, which hopefully tie in with my holiday on 12th August.

I am not sure about restricted movement, but if your GP can help with some pratical suggestions, it might be worth asking? I use a dietictian through my GP which although sometimes not helpful, she points out the obvious, it does take various measurements and reports back to my GP, so in the end she also helps me focus.

Finally Mrs Suggs helps enormously too :)

hope thats helps, All the best, keep writing, the ladies (and the odd bloke!) are turely a great bunch and all will want to help you stay on the straight and narrow.

ntak1ur.gifI don't know what it's like in your neck of the woods, but I woke up, looked out the window and thought I'd slept through to November!! ...

...Welcome Bykerlass :j I hope that you soon find a plan that suits you, I think that between us all here we cover most of them so feel free to ask for help as and when :D (btw how did Lois know you were Geordie:confused: ?) and I can confirm what you said last night...

... dellybelly is indeed a star :j :j We only have to mention something here and a lovely person helps eox0iqv.gif and delly is now officially a very lovely peep :D . I was sorry to hear about your experience though and the injury you sustained, I've never thought of yoga as anything other than a means of relaxation, so you've taught me something :T ...

    ...Well done ajax :j ...

...jo How did your weigh in go? I think you were very brave to have a meal before you went because when I used to attend a class in the evening I waited until I'd got back home before I had my dinner :o I know it's wrong because once you've done it one week you have to do it subsequent weeks too. It was quite the normal thing with the other folk there as well. That's why I changed to going to a morning class so that I didn't starve for a day...

.. I have a SW-friendly breakfast. Usually toast with cheese spread, sometimes 2 Weetabix with skimmed milk, but often on a weekend if I'm not at work it will be Quorn sausages, eggs, beans and two slices of brown bread. I love weekends :)

    Hi Kyle

Unfortunately I'm not a brekkie person so I'm not the best one to advise, but, I understand that porridge is one of the best things to have as it releases it's energy slowly over the next few hours. Try chopping a banana or apple into it or a teaspoonful of honey/syrup drizzled over it, this might help.

    Morning peeps:D I AM THAT excited I could do cartwheels:j :j

I put my name in the ballot for the tickets of England V Germany at wembley next month and my son and I have been successful:j :j I missed out on the first round of sales and now I won in the ballot, the only thing is not sure why I am that excited as I will be over in Spain on my hols and unable to attend so will have to sell them but I am so excited none the less:j :j

ajax IS right, shreddies, weetabix, oatsosimple all high fibre slow releasing cereals are the best to have for breakfast along with a few raspberries, sliced banana on top and it should last you until lunch...

morning one and all and to all and one good morning :)

Kyle, Im a porridge made with water person, and some honey (when I can stand it) or the light sugar. Occasionaly I have crunchy nut corn flakes if the sweet tooth screams hard enough. I did buy some quorn sausages last week, an aquired taste ;)

Is that twice you have been lucky in the ballot victory? you should let us know your secret ;) So far I cant go to any of the England summer rugby matchs as I either have the kids or we are on holiday, I even got offered tickets to a world cup match in Paris, guess what! I have the kids. Next years six nations matchs?? Guess :o Just my bad luck I guess :)

Well done for the loss Ajax, do you use the scouring powder or the Dutch football team pronounction? Petrichor, I did double check, sorry its still July :) guess we must have moved hemispheres instead?

Big welcome to Bykerlass, how did it go Jo? Looking forward to league one football this season?
