Posture - pull tummy in, tuck tail under a little (this tilts pelvis slightly), shoulders back. Sounds easy and really improves posture, especially the holding tummy in (again only lightly). :)
Drawback - trying to stay like this.:rotfl:
  • check your bra fitting! When I wore poorly-fitting bras my posture was appalling.

Do core exercises too - bad posture can be caused by a weak core.

+1 for getting a properly fitted bra!

Whether it's for posture or just that intoxicating sense of certainty that all is laid out as it ought to be - a good bra is wonderful...

(Not sure I feel 'glamorous' but full of mischief & everything pointed in the right direction!)
  • I'm pretty certain that my bra's fitting well, but it's a very valid point.

I think my posture is more to do with strength and core muscles. Has anyone got a link to some exercises that I could do at home specifically to do with posture? Thanks

Pilates is great for posture as it works on your core.

Come and join us on the ranging thread for loads of advice and support.

In my opinion glamour is less about clothes and makeup and more about confidence.

You see I do think glamour is about clothes and makeup. I would agree with you if OP had said how to look more beautiful or sexy. But, when I think of glamour I think of a woman who is always made up, impeccably groomed and wears 'look at me' clothes that are chosen for looks not comfort.

I always feel a little bit glamorous when I'm wearing really nice matching underwear - doesn't happen often but even if I'm wearing tatty old jeans and tshirt I KNOW I'm drop dead gorgeous and feel like sashaying around.
  • Ok so yesterday was day 1 of my new resolution, what I did was...

    1. Took some vitamin supplements that i had already at the back of the cupboard.

    2. Found some hair treatment shampoo and conditioner and used.

    3. Sorted through my makeup and threw out what I really don't need or that doesn't suit.

    4. Found loads of skincare products so did a little pamper and my skin feels lovely.

    5. Manicured my nails myself.

    6. Ate healthy things and no cake!!

    Today I plan to ..

    1. Buy a Pilates DVD any recommendations?

    2. Eat healthily

    3. Start sorting through the wardrobe.

I am really determined to make a real effort and make the most of what I have been given, I'm not beautiful by any stretch of the imagination but not a dog either.. somewhere in the middle !!!
I want to build my confidence back up after a violent relationship and show the world I'm back !!! :j:j:j

My make up is okay I think but I think I will book an appointment with one of the Clinnique girls for a consultation. I might pick up a few tips. :)
