I'm consolidating my funds at HL to reduce my number of holdings prior to transfer. I placed a switch order and the sell was done on 19/5 and the corresponding buy on 21/5, so it's not just III that miss a day.

That's quite normal for a switch. If you think about the process, HL have to wait to find out how much the sale instruction has realised, before they're able to issue the buy instruction.

It will all depend on how quickly the fund manager processes the buy instruction, and then confirms the amount realised to HL. If this isn't done before 8am the following day, then the buy instruction won't be issued until the next day.

Yes, it's two actions/trades so it will cost you £20.

Thanks. So looks like with quarterly rebalancing the flat fee route will be more expensive (for my portfolio) as the percentage platforms tend to have free switching.

I am weighing up the other costs of the flat fee platform of iii versus the other platforms I use.
If I hold a fund on the iii platform does a switch to another fund cost £20 (£10 to sell and £10 to buy)?

Yes, but you do get £20 credit to buy/sell for the flat fee.

And if you set up regular monthly investments it costs £1.50 per transaction.

I am now into 11th week and waiting for ISA transfers to show up in II. I can't trade the funds until they show up so if I lose out in the mean time it seems as if II should be responsible?

How do you know iii are responsible for the delay?

14 weeks and my isa transfer has finally completed things only seemed to start moving after I raised complaints against both companies with the FOS 2 weeks ago. I believe the problem was with III.

I'm up to around 14 weeks. HL have already informed me that they waited a full 6 weeks after receiving the request to actually start dealing with it - which is not good at all. Not sure how much longer I am going to have to wait....
  • It's now over 3 months since iii acknowledged receipt of my ISA and SIPP transfer forms.
    Current state of play :

SIPP : 16 funds/trackers still sitting in HL, 5 Investment Trusts have arrived intact with iii, and 1 IT is lost in space.
ISA 1 : 1 fund only, still sitting in HL.
ISA 2 : 1 fund still sitting in HL, 0 funds in iii, and 4 funds lost in space.

A pretty pathetic state of affairs really - secure messages currently being fired off to both parties.

    agreed, it really isn't smooth.

II sent me a message last week telling me they were aware that they were waiting for A, B and C holdings to be transferred across. i replied to list D, E, F, G and H and telling them which were within ISA, SIPP and Trading.
