So, more than 9 weeks in, and two of my three Jupiter funds are showing on II (don't know why only two of the three, when all were applied for together).
My husband's Schroder holdings are showing in his II account just a little over eight weeks from when he began the transfer process. Here's hoping the remaining holdings will begin to appear soon.

I'm 9 weeks in and my Jupiter and Schroder funds are the only ones not yet showing on II, the others appeared about a week ago.

Ah well, that blows my theory right out of the water then - here was I thinking how much more efficient Jupiter and Schroder must be than other fund managers.... :)

It's a lovely day here and I therefor would hate to upset anyone's Sunday, but ........ my transfer from H-L to III is complete! All the funds, all the cash, all the king's horses and all the king's men.
Transfer started 10th February. Transfer completed 18th May. Only 14 weeks; faster than a speeding bullet.
Wonderful except: my wife's transfer started at the same time still has two funds to go ....
Anyway, good luck to the rest of you, just hang in there.

    Yay !
On the contrary, I can now relax and enjoy the day (weeks) as it seems I have a few more before I can expect all to have moved over. At least I now have some sort of timeline; I'll check back in 5 weeks.
And glad that yours have moved over successfully le loup.
  • been nearly 6 weeks now since I started transfer from natwest to II for my isa, and I get this message

" On checking our database, I can confirm that Natwest have not responded yet with a valuation of your account. We would advise you to contact Natwest to see if there is anything outstanding which is stopping them from providing this information. "

    grrrr

I think I might have made a mistake despite endless prevarication. With the announcement of charges, I needed to move my ISAs (from Hargreaves Lansdown, Best Invest and Fundsmith) and SIPP (from Hargreaves Lansdown). I decided to let the dust settle a bit and see what changed after the immediate announcements. In fact very little has changed and I am now up against the 2nd June charging changes at Hargreaves Lansdown, which will make a big difference to my transfer costs (no I didn’t try to get my charges waived because I wanted time to make a decision).

I initially chose to go to III but I was not impressed by some of the contact I had with their staff and also by the feedback in this thread. I rejected other low cost providers (iWeb, Halifax, Alliance Trust, You Invest) for various reasons. In the end I chose to go with Trustnet Direct, I already use their other web site to track my portfolios and I liked the look of their website. I knew that Trustnet Direct used III’s systems but I assumed that was as a dealing platform and based on the contact I had with them I assumed that I would be paying extra (over III) for a better service.

I sorted everything out yesterday, filling in the ISA transfer forms and applying for a SIPP. When I was filling out the transfer forms, I thought I noticed something familiar. After posting them, I checked the III site and not only were the forms just re-worked versions of the III ones but the postal address was identical to the III address (with the exception of the name on the top).

I rang Trustnet Direct today and asked about their relationship with III. From what I understood from the answer, it seems that Trustnet Direct not only use III systems, but also the same people and processes. It must have been the “luck of the draw” that I got better responses when I phoned them compared to III. So am I now paying £200 a year extra for the privilege of linking an III managed portfolio to TrustNet Direct’s fancy analysis tools? This is worth something to me but probably not £200 a year.

One thing that I haven’t got to the bottom of is that Trustnet Direct seem to have a bigger fund selection than III. I don’t know how that can be but for example Trustnet Direct have SWIP Foundation Growth B Acc as an option (OCF 0.09%) whereas this fund isn’t available through III (at least that’s what they told me). So I might claw some money back!

I too thought that Trustnet Direct were distinctly separate from III but have realised that they aren't which has worried me. Even got a letter from them on III headed paper.

They have dealt with queries on the current year subscriptions well but the transfer from HL is painfully slow.

Hopefully we will see some benefit for our extra £200 but I am beginning to wonder if I should have stuck with HL after they offered me the 0.25% rate.

Don't necessarily believe that you can actually buy all the funds they seem to offer. I tried to set a regular investment in one fund only to find that it was soft closed and so not actually available after all !
