I'd like to know how you know this clause definitely wasn't there when you signed up to your previous account. Are you implying that you read, inwardly digest and remember all T&Cs for all websites you have ever visited, or is it just that you can't countenance that you may be wrong? Hearsay isn't evidence.
Because they mention Skimlinks which is something they introduced to the site very recently, i.e. within the past few months.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Last we heard from the op was on the 22nd Feb:Littlemadam83 wrote: »I feel like I can't cope with this and just want my life to end.

Agreed Scrounger - MSE need to send an email to the OP and see if she's alright.0

Calm down people.
The OP started a new job, she's probably been a bit busy.
If the Forum Team checked up on everyone who is depressed or a bit down, it would cease to be a forum and become a counselling service.
I'm sure the OP will be back when she has time.0 -
I've been reading through this poor woman's post and I am really worried about her.
However, she has recently been in contact with the police, so someone will be contacting her about the situation and if it's all hit the fan she probably won't feel like posting for a while.
She might be a little embarrassed to check her MSE account after what's she's told everyone.
We can only hope she'll post back on here soon to ease our minds, and let us know that she's okay.Debts: ASDA Loan - £6,848.01

Well, the thread had originally only been seen by a little over 4000 people but now thanks to MSE putting it in the weekly email it's been viewed by almost 17,000 people“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
One thing I always say to people is watch what you put on the net. As this thread has proved, people will find you pretty easily.
So be careful what you say, who you pick on and all that.
I would keep your concerns private, to the MSE team. I really think it's inappropriate. To start posting details of how you found her and where. Things like location, other postings, purchases and that kind of thing. It may not even be the same person. Which is then a real issue if you are linking people into this who are not involved. Publicly. Pm'ing names and things. It's all a bit too far.
I don't see how posting a lot of what has been found will help op, if it is her. Should have been kept private to MSE admin. It will make her even less reluctant to come back if it is her.
As it will just encourage other people to maybe do the same thing, who hadn't considered it, just to be nosey, and they may not have the good intentions you all do.
I know you are concerned but a line has been crossed here, it's all a bit stalkerish. If your intentions were good, then PM the details to admin. I really don't see the need to be posting it all on here, making it harder her for her to come back. Pm'ing each other her real name. Why? Send it to admin. I'm sure if she is feeling like crap, feeling everyone is gossiping about her, and hunting down all her net history is really going to make her feel better.
If you're THAT concerned someone is about to kill themselves and you think you've tracked them down or are risk from a violent partner. Take your information and concerns to the police. Don't post it all on here, saying what you've dug up on her, airing dirty laundry for her, or wait for MSE to get back. IF indeed you have "found her". Or try and get her number form directory inquiries! Seriously! You could be anyone, it may frighten her, if people manage to get hold of her in real life. If it was a huge major concern, you'd report it to the police.0 -
Maybe she just wants to keep her head down and deal with this problem?? Maybe her man has has admitted it and she has sorted it out? Or she will just pay her credit card back and get on with her life or her job is taking up more of her time???? Im sure op didnt anticipate that this would get picked up and used in a weekly email and is probably mortified at how its progressed and everyone and their dog commenting on it. As previous poster has posted , be careful what you post, and be aware of how much personal details you put, but also be ready for some people, instead of offering advice as 99% do, ripping you apart for doing something they dont agree with. There is always one!!!0

Exactly this!!! :T
It's bad enough this thread has been publicised far and wide but to mention her private and personal details is absolutely despicable. You have absolutely NO IDEA who might be reading this!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
