Coconut oil is liquid when the weather warms up. I've been doing low carb for a while now, I've lost loads of weight and have never made a fat bomb! When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0

Thanks for replies
I'm only using it in recipes rather than as a traditional oil for frying etc.
Made some peanut butter chocolate and all spice fat bombs, only 2 carbs and tasted like really nice truffles.
Challenge I have is it easier to measure if liquid. Scooping soild from a jar and squashing into a measuring spoon is a faff.
I bought it for £2 a tub from Amazon and I thought that was ok price. Bought a large jar of coconut butter for £10.

Thanks am such a numpty with recipes and worry it changes make up and then ruins it. I tried melting butter for recipe once and it just altered it completely. Will give it a go.
Defo need to get my head back around this and commit to it. I lost 3st 9lb and kept it off for a year. Gradually climbed back up to at worse just 8lb loss. Now am at 1st 2lb weight loss and determined to smash 4 stone threshold this year.

The coconut oil will be fine. You could even leave it on a warm window sill, it will become liquid pretty quick. Especially if you put just a couple of scoops in a measuring jug, then you can pour the melted oil into your measuring spoons. When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0

Weighed myself yesterday 11st 12lb :j:T, I can see it in my face now lost most of the double/treble chin, and clothes feel loose, really enjoying this eating plan, don`t crave my carbs at all which surprises me, I do have a Moser Roth 85% choc bar every night, but I can obviously cope with that as loosing weight steadily and feel great.:DDo I need it or just want it.0

Hi all
I am low carbing, I have done it before, Atkins first (4st loss) and then a more "clean" version without Atkins bars etc. and lost 2 stone that I put on after I stopped Atkins.
Those 2 stone came back!
My problem is that once I fall off the wagon I give in, so this time I am trying to think of it as less of a "diet" and more "way of eating" as I feel so much better cutting out the carbs. I am seriously addicted to sugar and found myself munching handfuls of jelly beans at work without ever feeling full. In fact I just wanted more!
I have cut out all wheat based products not just for carb content but I think I am gluten intolerant anyway. I have IBS and it just disappears as soon as I low carb without wheat.
I did start a month ago just relying on how I felt rather than focus on the weight loss, but I wish now that I had weighed myself first. I gave in last week and was 16st 0.5 lb, I am now 15 st 12 so a couple of pounds down (period week so that might have helped the loss a little).
My blood pressure is 114/77 which I am really happy with for a 44 year old tubby!
Its nice to be back with likeminded people, this time I hope to stay for lifewith the occasional off-wagon exploit, but must get on again.
Lesley xLet's get ready to bumble! :rotfl:0
