Hi Smeeinnit, pleased to see you, I have been low carbing since Easter, and feeling good, I also have I.B.S. but no symptoms since starting this W.O.E., I initially tried 50-100 and the weight was falling off currently just over a stone gone, I then tried to restrict my carbs even more, and struggled, I had no desire for food and my weight loss stopped, body in starvation mode perhaps, so I have gone back to 50-75 and will see what this time next week brings. We are all different so what works for me may not for you.

So sorry I haven't been around. Firstly I lost the thread, even though i am subscribed.I've sat down properly now to look for you all and da-da, you were right where you've always been. Tbh I haven't even started low carbing yet as work is just getting in the way of everything at the moment; plus I just love my bread. I just hate being fat.I really need to get a grip, just no time for anything right now.

Is there anywhere I can buy low carb cake/muffin and low carb bread?

However for best results you would be better off just coming off those type of products. There are several types of home made low carb breads (flax seed, almond four etc) that will be much better for your low carb lifestyle. I will admit that they don't taste like normal breads though! I do like them though:T

The bread thing is not as hard as you think it will be! After the first three days you honestly won't miss it.
I put off doing this diet for the same reason, I didn't think I could manage my life without bread. The truth of the matter was that at 30 stone I was killing myself with bread. Because of my size it wasn't easy to stand and cook meals so I ate a lot of toast and sandwiches. When I finally made the decision to go low carb I swopped to bacon and eggs fried in butter for breakfast and coffee with cream! I didn't feel hungry for hours!
Anyway I'm still a work in progress but now weigh eighteen stone. It still sounds a lot but boy do I feel great!
I think bread causes an addiction in you. The more you eat, the more you want! Good luck:o

Thanks retired lady. I did similar on slimming world as bread and cereal are restricted, but in truth I did miss it. I need to lose 2-3 stone which I have put on since getting complacent, and also since returning to work. Ironically I work in the kitchen of a restaurant, so hard not to eat bits floating in from the chefs. Also, because of my shifts, I'm not hungry before work as I have eaten when I've got up which means my meals are then messed up.I haven't time to stop and eat something properly as we don't get a proper break. So it makes my routine normally out of synch.Well done on your weight loss, that's a fantastic amount.

Hi I'm with retired lady on the bread front! Once your into low carb you really don't miss it or the sugary snacks its altogether a healthier diet for me. I do occasionally have a tiger roll with a couple of bacon medallions on, on special occassions but as long as you don't go overboard.
