Hi, is there any one here doing Atkins?

I am Jill. Three weeks in and I've lost a stone. I do have a lot to lose, though.

That's really good. Keep it up. I have hit my wedding target weight so now have lost 2 stone and 5lbs. Yay I did it!:j

How are you getting on Jill?

I lost another pound this week. It was four and a half the week before so I'm not disappointed with "only a pound". If the numbers keep going down I can cope with erratic!

You don't have any control over what life throws at you.
You DO have control over how you react :)

 Aaaaar thanks Mercy! This thread and your recipes have helped so much though!! This thread (well mainly the previous ones) helped me understand how it all works and the recipes meant I could make up batches of stuff and grab it to ensure I was never hungry. I am really pleased and still love getting the compliments! Even my gym manager noticed the other day. I will definitely stay around and planning to try to stay a bit low carb but not as strict as I have been. Looking forward to sweet potatoes and the odd naan bread!!!

Instead of weighing yourself, you can just see whether your clothes are fitting better and whether you can see changes when you stand in front of the mirror naked.

When your body has been used to the instant kick it gets from easily-digested carbs, it does take a few days to get used to a lower carb intake but you shouldn't feel tired for very long.

well they say that 'God loves a trier'. I hope my waistband does soon. Breakfast this morning consisted of leftover sprouts, cauliflower, carrots and a sausage. Jelly and yoghurt for lunch. will be having chicken stirfry and salad for tea. Weird concoction but enjoying it all the same atm :)
