based on the MFP info, I've been having between 48% and 61%fat each day.is this enough?
its a struggle to find things to keep the fat content up though
I havent counted calories but have had around 1200-1400 most days.
i'm not big on drinking water generally (massive teaholic) but have been making more of an effort with this.
Had a day off yesterday as we had a birthday dinner booked- felt quite bloated and full after and the champers went straight to my head!!
back on it today with scrambled eggs with cream for brekkie before body pump, a whey protein after and a home made burger for lunch. I made Mercy's mexican fudge at the weekend and have some left over to snack on.
No- I havent taken measurements, thats an idea
Sounds ok to me - are you drinking normal milk in your tea? As that can stall people. Also don't forget when you cheat it takes a while to get back into ketosis for fat burning so keep it to a minimum. I have had two cheat weekends since Jan 2nd and I think this has helped. Apart from those I have stuck to my rules and I think that is why the weight loss has been good. Also if you don't have lots to lose the weight loss will be slower.Since starting again after beanie: June 2016: Child development DVDs, Massive Attack tickets. yep, either skimmed or semi, though I like strong tea so theres only a splash- think I'll struggle to go without tea even more than chocolate
mmm, hope that doesnt mean induction flu again??I'm guessing that was why I felt so awful the first few days I started a couple of weeks again- waves of nausea, headache and shattered...
its mainly a muffin top that I want to lose- handles and flabby tum that have crept up on me, around a stone at the most.0 -
Worriedtoo - Also have a look at the recent post of fb - shows how many inches can be lost and no weight!!

Hiya,
I'm currently on day 5 of first 10 day boost on the Terri Ann 123 plan
http://www.terriann123dietplan.co.uk/pages/aboutus.htm
It seems to be high protein, low carb, low fat. Its day 5 and ive lost 2.5 lb so not a huge amount and I'm really missing vegetables. Apart from that I'm always full as the high protein sees to that.
I'm reading so many conflicting reports about the best diet - I'm not sure this plan I'm on is good for your overall health? I'm aware I'm probably not having any vitamins and minerals etc.
I know I can introduce some veg after 10 days then its a week with veg, week without. My digestion is suffering too
Has anyone else tried this? Any views on it?0 -

I feel that the link doesn't really tell us what you can and can't eat (probably because they don't want people to get the plan free!) so it's hard to say what I think of it. The testimonial photos look good though. Personally if I couldn't have veg for 10 days I wouldn't want to do it as I have found it hard enough just sticking to green veg/mushrooms on the diet I am following. If you are eating lots of meat I would recommend trying to have some that is grass fed as it has a higher vitamin and mineral content than grain fed (although more expensive).Since starting again after beanie: June 2016: Child development DVDs, Massive Attack tickets. Hi, sorry, in a nutshell its minimum of 250g protein - more if you can eat it (chicken mince, turkey, offal) at breakfast lunch and dinner - 2 eggs a day, unlimited cucumber, lettuce, herbs, spice, mushrooms, peppers, onions 2 diet yogurts a day plus a small amount of low fat cheese and tomato puree a week.
Its a huge amount of meat - I am full all day long. After this for 10 days you can introduce a small amount of veg 4 times a week, 3 slices of wholemeal bread a week, then you go back to no bread / veg a week and alternate until goal is reached.
I'm just wondering if I could simply cut out all bread, rice, pasta, cereal but introduce more veg and some fruit plus lots of meat.
Its advertised as there being a science of food combining and the switching from some carb to no carb that keeps you losing weight. Ive put my food into MFP every day and the calories are averaging 1300 a day so im wondering if its just the fact that its a reduction of calories thats doing the weight loss or the 'science' behind the type of food eating.0 -
Is it only iceberg type lettuce or can you eat all green leaf type salads such as spinach/rocket/lambs lettuce etc? If you can eat all types plus onions, mushrooms and peppers then it is not too restrictive. My worry is the amount of protein - I am sure that I read somewhere that if you eat too much it turns to sugar (more scientific than that obviously!) anyway. Maybe that is where you get your energy if the diet is low carb and low fat?
I think you can either do another couple of weeks and see how you feel or look at one of the other plans. I did/am doing low carb - no real plan I just didn't eat anything that was carby and kept it lower than 20-30g carbs a day and have only increased it very slightly now. I kept my fats up and went tot he gym 3-4 times a week. I have lost 2 stone and 2lbs since Jan 2nd. I did read the Idiot proof book though which helped me understand a bit more and read a lot of the stuff on the original thread here. Lots of reading and googling helped me understand how carbs change the way my body works. Hope that helps.Since starting again after beanie: June 2016: Child development DVDs, Massive Attack tickets. Hi everyone :hello: can I join in? I've just found this thread.
I've been on Atkins for two weeks and lost 9lbs so far (7 and 2.5).
I'm off work, I was taken home yesterday because I felt so awful. Not sure what it is but could be sinusitis (I do have sinus problems but not usually this bad), some bug that is "going about" or "low carb flu" (after 2 weeks?). I'm hoping it's not the lc because I've eaten some stuff I shouldn't have whilst feeling ill.
I've done Atkins and vlc diets before and never felt this bad so hopefully not that.
I've set my initial target  at 70lbs. I have a LOT to lose and that takes me to a significant figure (for me). I'll reassess after that.
I'm loving the recipes posted as I'm not very imaginative. I did have celeriac oven chips on Saturday evening but they are not for me. I didn't have any curry powder but did put a fair bit of dried chillies on them. They are too sweet for me. Might try the cauli mash/rice instead as I do like cauli.
I've just had a delivery of zero pasta from Approved Foods so I can have a wee bit of occasional "normality". Hopefully they are ok - I do appreciate I need to add sauces.
Hope everyone is well and enjoying their lc journeys.0 -
Can anyone make suggestions for a lunches? I've been having salads which I'm enjoying because I still get the tasty bits:rotfl:. As it gets warmer, though, I like to eat outside. We only have a bench at work, plus it is a bit breezy so salads don't really work.0
