Aww penguin, I feel for you, I really do. I don't want to make you feel worse by saying not long now, but fingers crossed and it will all be worth it when he's here
I'm only 37+5 and I'm climbing the wallsHad a major wobble at 37 weeks due to the heat and my general behemoth-size making even rolling over in bed turn into a production.
Baby is still in my ribs and hasn't dropped at all, so I get really uncomfortable later on the evenings. The only way that eases it is lying on all foursor kneeling up the stairs.
We've just had our first stop on the way up to Scotland - and I've already had my nap :A I'm really excited to see my nephews again.
Iced Fanta has replaced any ciders or G&Ts that I may have had.
One question - if baby is born up here; is he still able to be registered at home; or would he need to be registered here? We're due to come home on Tuesday and get half the time to register up here as it is in England so we'd need to work something out!

Yes, it is really not long now. Maximum 4 more mornings of disappointment before induction date. I will be patient! I do feel for you with the discomfort- I have been so much happier since baby was turned and dropped. Have a good trip in Scotland- no idea about registration! But I do know in my area you have to go to one specific town hall to register out of county births.0

Sweet I may be wrong but when I registered Clara the place I had to go was based on where I lived not where she was born. So hopefully it's the same for you!
Penguin - I know the frustration but it will walk be worth it. Must be very hard in this heat though - although I'm afraid it's even worse trying to keep a newborn cool and panicking about her overheating!!
Loads of love to all of you - come on May babies!!
P.S controversial I know but a small drink will barely even get to baby now, I had a glass of wine when I was about a week overdue as it helped me relax a bit.Officially Mrs B as of March 2013
TTC since Apr 2015, baby B born March 20170 -

Oh I'm with you, I have been slurping stolen drinks shamefully throughout pregnancy. Had about quarter of a glass of prosecco last week with the nct group and a small glass at a wedding 6 weeks ago. If OH had a drink I'd have some, but he is off drink in case he needs to drive! So we're both looking at it in the fridge with longing.0 -
I'm not on maternity leave yet - working Tuesday and Wednesday. Last week was just my last full week. I'm super chilled about it - this entire week has gone fast; now three day weekend and then two days of winding down - it'll fly by
Hanging out at the in-laws this weekend: currently bathed in sunshine outside whilst FIL barbecues and I sip tonic water. With the rest of you on the alcohol - gave up for the first trimester and been getting less disciplined ever since!
So super chilled out at the moment: love this weather! Great for my mood.Cleared my credit card debt of £7123.58 in a year using YNAB! Debt free date 04/12/2015.
Enjoying sending hundreds of pounds a month to savings rather than debt repayment!0 -

Gosh, so much for taking it easy this weekend - we ended up doing a mass load of gardening today, but garden is now looking in a much better state, with not too much more waiting to be done!
Really must pack my hospital bag properly tomorrow - good thing we're not away, or I'd've had to be much more organised!
Feel for you Penguin, with the waiting - i'm starting to get a bit fed up now, and I'm only 37.5 weeks! The heat has really not been helping - I've been drinking so much more liquid, and going for the ice lollies every day! Glad it's a bank holiday though, whic means I get OH for an extra dayWe've had some really bad nights of sleep recently (his bad neck/too hot etc), so desperately hoping that we both have a decent night tonight. Otherwise it might be one of us in the spare bed tomorrow night!
Arbrighton and Sweet, hope you're both having nice weekends away. And here's hoping that it's good news for Vanilla0 -
Well my hospital bag was hurriedly packed in the small hours of the morning! False alarm and contractions went off after an hour or two, but prompted frenzied activity in the meantime!
Baby sat very low now. Tinker! Having it tip up early is not part of the grand plan! Still got loads to do before I can leave work, and a midnight dash to the hospital is complicated by the presence of the toddler at home and the fact DH doesn't drive.
Rang the hospital this morning and they're content to play it by ear for now - hoping still to make it to consultant meeting on the 7th to get a date booked in for a leisurely section. Suspect this baby may have other ideas though... :SMFW 01/01/17 - £123,279.40

Fuzzipeg- glad it was a false alarm!
Firebird- hope you are relaxing more today! Although it's satisfying when you have been productive.
Snow- sounds like a lovely weekend, hope the good weather is continuing for you
Still nothing here. We have been on yet another walk- baby is putting so much pressure on pelvic floor but no sign. I had on- off contractions all yesterday but again fizzled out. Got really upset again last night for no real reason- I think just tiredness and hormones, but OH was really lovely. He has decided that he will be in charge of symptom spotting, deciding when we go to hospital etc and is trying to talk all the responsibility away from me as he thinks I'm fretting about it. That being said I have a new symptom today- leaking boobs! So been hand expressing them to see if that can give me an oxytocin boost and encourage supply for when baby finally appears. SILs sister had an emergency c-section this afternoon and has a huge baby- more than 9.5lb! Don't know the name yet and half tempted to ask them not to tell us in case it's the same! But probably won't as it seems a bit arsey.0 -
Sorry to hear no news penguin.
We're just back from Oxford- it was a lovely weekend but I must look huge as lots of 'when are you due' or 'here have a seat' type comments. Certainly feel like I'm bigger than 38 weeks friend, when I'm only coming up to 35 weeks! She went out in a punt with her husband whereas I felt far too ungainly to get in and out without going in the river! Lot of ankle swelling going on as well.
Thurs eve/ fri am was a bit concerned bean wasn't moving so much. Rang triage- advised to drink more (min 3 litres per day, said the lady apologetically) and if that didn't pep up movements, ring again to see about going in. Bean perked right up though once I was drinking more and lady did say it was common to get those calls when it was that hot.0
