That's great news they're in position elles. My twin brother was breech and didn't turn (I was twin 1), and my hardcore mum delivered with just gas and air. Oh and he was 7lb 14 :o

Enjoy your nct class. Am with you on the waiting!

I'm just back from the children's centre- had a good health visitor information session. Half of it was info about sleep, breastfeeding, attachment etc that was all quite brief and the second half was all about the children's centre and what they offer- lots of emphasis on social groups and they have free baby massage courses as well as breastfeeding support, baby clinics, postnatal courses, sensory room etc. Was really useful and a great resource, and handy for me as it is about 15-20 mins walk away. Was also nice as a couple of nct mums were in the same group so we got to have a catch up. Lazy afternoon for me I think as I've not stopped this week!

Hope everyone else is doing ok- bank holiday weekend is in sight!

Arbrighton, you really made me giggle with the socks comment :rotfl: Who knows, but I'm glad you've slept better anyway.

My sleepy and awake times have been all over the shop recently, but last night I went to bed at 9:30pm, started to teach myself crochet, and was asleep my 10:30. Brilliant, especially since we got up late this morning as well. I feel so much better :)

Thanks everyone for the reassurance we purchasing things. We're away this weekend, so I've pencilled in the weekend after for sorting out the remaining bits. Will be 34 weeks by then, so that's probably about right. I'm far too tired after work to do anything sensible in the evenings. Just looking forward to my aquanatal tonight, and hoping the pool is a bit warmer again this week!

Edit: Good new Elles about the twins getting into position!

Penguin - how did you find out about the Children's Centre stuff? I'm not even quite sure where our nearest is...

i think it just makes my restless feet calm down/ makes sure i'm the right temperature- I generally seem to lose the duvet war!

Doesn't seem to be making me any less tired though. Just less frustrated

I only know where our children's centre is as that's where comm. midwife appts are

I also have my midwife appointments at the children's centre. In my area they have a health visitors journey and today was the first 'stop' on it so they try to target all families in the area. I think it is a postcode lottery though about what is avaliable in your area- I think we are very lucky! Certainly to have things like free 5 week baby massage courses is brilliant.

I think the 80s meant that ignorance was bliss! She didn't know he was breech and bump measuring had guessed we were both about 5lb, so was half right! Plus it was second pregnancy after a relatively easy first labour so was quicker. Needless to say my brother had been similarly awkward ever since :D

Still waiting on my referral for the physio to come through, so decided to go try bump taping to help with the SPD. What a difference. As soon as the first bit of tape was applied, bump was lifted immentdiately. She finished taping me up, and I feel so much better. I even feel my posture is a lot better, pretty much pre pregnancy. Would highly recommend it if your suffering from lower back pain/pelvic pain etc.

Elles hope you enjoy your classes. I loved mines, and still in contact with the girls I meet. A few of us are meeting for coffee tomorrow so will def help build a support system. Glad to hear babies are in poll position. Not long now. Fingers crossed they stay put, and no c section.

Fire I've found sleep definitely helps, especially after a few crappy nights in a row. Though by the end of the day I find im absolutely shattered again.

Penguin, that's brilliant. Im not even sure we have a children's centre up here. Never heard of them until now. Might do a bit of googling and see if there's anything similar.

Arbrighton fair play to you on the hen do, I think I would have bailed at this stage. I find a trip to town or the gym tires me out. I hope you have a good day :)

I'm going to take it steady, don't worry and will duck out after the cocktail making masterclass (virgin options provided) if needs be. But I miss these friends terribly and it'll be a good catch up/ pregnancy moan/ newborn/ weaning etcetc

We've just been swimming having skipped a couple of weeks while OH had a stinking cold. Managed 4 more lengths than previously so quite pleased. Hoping to sleep in a little tomorrow so will ask OH to let dogs out and feed them, which should buy me an hour or so!

Sweet sorry to hear things are rough at the moment.
Elles glad both babies are in position, fingers crossed they stay that way.
Arbrighton enjoy the hen do. We did cocktail making at the one I was on couple of weeks ago and the virgin ones were actually really nice. I've got another hen do next weekend and we are stopping away again but just one night.

Another one whose movements have changed to move rolls, twitches and pushes outward which can be a bit painful at times. Placenta check scan next week and midwife has delayed my next appt until I'm 34weeks as she didn't see a need with me going for scan.
Time is really ticking along now, roll on the baby boom :)
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
