Rachy - Hope your doing well xx
RachyLou- thanks for your lovely message. I keep a regular eye on the TTC thread too and I have to say yours is the news I have everything crossed for. I do think it must be almost harder to have had the success and not get it again than to have never had it at all so I just have everything crossed that you get your rainbow soon. Have you visited fertilityfriends.co.uk at all? it's nowhere near as active as here but incredibly supportive with really thorough experience of all types of fertility issues - I used it for a couple of months when we were having tests done at the 1 year mark and it was really nice. Some quite intense stories too though, so def stick to the most relevant parts of the forum.

Thanks for all your lovely messages and apologies for gatecrashing your thread. Lovely news that Clara Grace has arrived safe and well Cats and I'm wishing the rest of you best of luck with your pregnancies.
I'm okay thanks. Had my laparoscopy this month. Get results next week. Able to start TTC again now so fingers crossed anything they did find was sorted or if nothing, then it may have 'cleared me out' like some people say online :rotfl:
I may dip back in the TTC thread now and again and will update if any good news0 -
Sorry haven't posted for few days- been non-stop here! Did the final NCT class on Saturday and again really enjoyed it. There are about 3 couples due the weekend of ours, but everyone else was earlier (so we were earliest at 32 weeks), so I wouldn't worry those of you who think you are leaving it super late, that seems normal. Everyone in my class had partners for all sessions (even the bf evening session which I thought some might skip), but I'm sure the group would have been fine if someone didnt have their partner so I wouldn't worry. I'm shocked at the nhs classes not allowing partners! Ours were really involved and it was emphasised that they are so important partly as an advocate during labour.
We've finally finished decorating! We've ordered carpets, but they won't be in stock for a couple of weeks but they have said we are priority to get them fitted due to our circumstances (!). Only 3 weeks left in work now, feel super busy, but hopefully it will improve next week as there is a lot of stuff I have finished/ am finishing this week. Snow I can't believe how organised you are! We still haven't bought much, but have been given tons, although the cat thinks that a baby chair thing is a sun lounger for himWe were just about to buy a crib having decided a moses basket wasn't worth it as they outgrow them, and then BIL messaged to say nephew has outgrown moses basket already so we are getting his. My mum is hosting me a baby shower on Saturday, so I'm going to see what I have after that and then buy remaining bits and pack hospital bag.
I like my gym ball (hasn't collapsed so far, and I already had it!), but it also makes a handy foot stoolI'm also sticking with the hypnobirthing tracks. I've also tried this one http://freehypnobirthing.com/birth_relaxandvis.mp3 and liked it too
Hope everyone is getting on ok. Sorry to hear about your scare new, but glad all is ok!
Cats, hope you are all doing well and you have been able to get out and about. Would really like a newborn thread.
Rachy, fingers crossed for some positive news soon. Sorry you've found it a bit lonely on the other thread, maybe others don't feel sure about how they can support you as they're at different stages in the journey?
Sorry if I've missed people off- brain is mush and too much to catch up on!0 -
I felt like I'd never get to the big thread. I'm 24+6 now so I made it! Lovely to be here, and I've enjoyed reading about birth balls and NCT classes. Mine start this week, which feels really early, but they were advertised as being for June and July births so hopefully we'll all be similar.
Cats I hope everything is going well with your tiny one. Lovely name too.0 -
Quick question has anyone been fitted for maternity bras and if so where? I really need to get some new ones.
Penguin glad to hear thats the decorating done, hopefully you wont have to wait too long for the carpets coming in. Bet you'll be glad to be finished with work?
Welcome RatisonI think the stretch between 20 and 24 weeks felt like the longest time for me.

Mine are in May, and were advertised for June and July births! I figured at least that way I won't be last one left standing (due mid-June), more likely to be first and avoid everyone else's birth stories :rotfl:
April - not yet, but I'm interested in the answer. So far I've just been back to M&S and bought some larger ones with fuller cups that are comfortable, but would be interested to hear where is good for nursing bras etc.0 -

Yes, finding it pretty tiring now. Working from home today which helps. Definitely getting real! You'll only be a couple of weeks after me
Welcome to the thread Ratison
Firebird- I'm sure you will be in the middle, mine were for april/may babies so at 20th may we were amongst the latest. One of the others has gone in for a planned c-section today, so that'll be 2/9 gone already!
April- I'm planning on ordering these from Amazon as they get good reviews and because they are a crop top design have a range of sizes they fit. Once my milk has come in, I'll measure properly and get something nicer/better fitting, but hoping these will do the first week or so at least.
Edit:ignore the last bit as I thought you'd said nursing bras not maternity bras. For maternity bras I just measured myself (well OH did it, lol) and bought some non-wired ones in Tesco. Had looked in M&S and been pretty underwhelmed.0 -
Depending on your bra size - if you are on the large side then the best / most accurate place to get fitted by a long stretch is Bravissimo.
I've actually been twice during pregnancy as I grew out of my old bras within 2 weeks of my BFP...! Then I had grown out of the two bras I bought at that point a few months later. Seem to have stabilised in the cup now but suspect I'll need back extenders as I head towards the finish line and my rib cage expands. Can't believe how much more I'll probably expand as I already feel enormous but at 28w the baby is only 2.25lb and will be 7.5lb by 40w! Got to fit somewhere...
Bravissimo don't actually sell maternity bras per se but they can fit you in a normal bra (underwires in a well fitted bra aren't bothering me anyway) and then you can just buy a maternity bra in the same size elsewhere if you want. They do however sell nursing bras. The assistant advised I go in at 37-40 weeks for that fitting as the baby should have dropped at that point so the underbust measurement will be more accurate. She said get fitted and buy a couple then; then after I'm recovered from the birth and milk has come in, go back, re-fit and complete the collection.
Hope this is useful to someone! My bra size progression so far has been 30E - 30FF - 32G! They were quite big enough before!!Cleared my credit card debt of £7123.58 in a year using YNAB! Debt free date 04/12/2015.

Wow snowscreamer, that's a lot of boobies! I don't have that problem, and one of the few perks of pregnancy is that I boobs for once! But only a C cup so not too tricky. I haven't needed sleep bras either.
I've been trying to find nursing tops (just basics like vests) online today and have found it really tricky. Lots out of stock or silly prices/postage. Anyone bought any?0 -
Snow that's the issue I seem to be having at the moment, my bra seems to be sitting at my ribs now, which is causing some pain at the front and back. I've already been fitted twice, so may just go to my usual place and get fitted and look at getting some non-wired bras. Boobs is the one part where I was gutted to gain :rotfl: I had finally managed to get down to a nice C cup but now I'm back up to a an E/F cup and it is a pain. OH isn't complaining, but I sure am. Will look at back extenders too, as the other day at work, I was so sore in one that I had to use one of those skinny bobbles to hook it together.
Penguin I've seen some nursing vests in H&M but not sure of prices, it was a 2 pack though. Another 5 weeks to go, but I'm on a 4 day week now which will help massively with the tiredness.0 -
Yeah h&m seem the best I can find. Asda have some too, but I'm surprised at the lack of choice. Definitely a lot more maternity stuff about than nursing.0
