Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a great weekend?!

I've still not managed on the computer to catch up properly on everyone's posts, it's been a busy week!

We spend a lovely day on Thursday going for a walk and a spot of lunch on DH day off .Then it was his birthday yesterday but we just had a quiet night with a take away and a film! Today our weather is glorious so we have been for a walk and brunch earlier and now I'm just sitting in the garden while he potters around cutting the grass etc It's lovely to be out!

Tomorrow is obviously Mother's Day but it is also my mums birthday and my brother in laws 30th! He is having a party tonight so hoping to pop in for an hour or so depending on how I feel later!

Hope to catch up on the computer on Monday :j

Friend's wedding yesterday. I wasn't intending to do any ceilidh dancing but got dragged up once or twice. oh dear that was tiring!!

Back home today to unpack and repack before driving up to Scotland tomorrow. Dog and I will take it steady, probably need quite a few comfort breaks.

Haha you observant lot!! Yes Baby B is finally.here, no name yet. Arrived 9.10am this morning weighing just 5lb 9oz. Unfortunately birth plan went out the window due to a big bleed in early.labour and then an issue with her heartrate dipping so it was a very quick but very medical labour and we're staying in overnight to make sure feeding etc works out given the interventions.

We're both safe and well though and staff were amazing. I'm a bit sore and very tired now but otherwise all good :-)

Hey Cats - Congratulations, I came in to find out if you had given birth. Over the moon for you and your family. Will look for some other posts for further details. I haven't posted on the TTC thread in ages as felt a bit ignored last time I posted and I've gone past the year stage now and no-one is on that thread either. However, I don't forget all the support I have received from you and others, most of which who have successfully had your babies and given me hope and inspiration. Thinking of you at this wonderful time :)

Cats - the name is lovely, hope you are settling at home well.
Vanilla - my nct courses aren't until I'm 33&34 weeks either. Not been offered anything from the midwife yet.
Rachy - Hope your doing well xx

Baby gave us a bit of a scare Thursday night/Friday as it hadn't really been on the move like normal and I hadn't felt it bar a couple of kicks for 18hours so I went to get checked by the midwife just to be safe. All was fine and once I got in the waiting room it was on the move little monkey!!

Newthrift glad to hear all is well with baby. They don't half like giving you a scare, even this early on.

First NCT class this weekend, so looking forward to that. Hoping I get over this cold that has been kicking around the past few days by then. That coupled with difficulty sleeping has made the past few days a real struggle. I just about manage to get through the day before crawling into bed the minute I get home. Managed to use some holidays so now I'm on a 4 day week until finishing up in just over 5 weeks time. I can't get over how quickly these past 8 or so weeks have gone.

Hope everyone else is doing well :)
  • We're not doing NCT but our NHS private "Birth and Beyond" classes start next Tuesday evening for four weeks. Really excited!

28 weeks tomorrow and the last couple of weeks have gone in a blur... I reckon time will slow down as soon as I'm on maternity leave (finish work end of May) and the waiting game begins!

I genuinely think the only thing we have left to buy is muslins and a couple of blankets. Feeling very prepared and the house is feeling pretty full. Apart from those two things we have everything else required for baby's hospital bag plus pram, Moses basket, car seat, enough clothes for first month, baby bath and changing mat.

Been feeling good last few days - those niggly 3rd trimester symptoms seem to have settled down and aren't bothering me much.
Cleared my credit card debt of £7123.58 in a year using YNAB! Debt free date 04/12/2015.
Enjoying sending hundreds of pounds a month to savings rather than debt repayment!

Hi again all! Clara is a week old today - we survived yey!!

I'm considering starting a newborn thread...maybe newborn- 1year? or newborn-6m maybe? I guess stuff changes pretty quickly so would be good to keep it focussed, what do people think?

So glad you're all doing well and now I'm really excited to hear baby news from the rest of you!!

RachyLou- thanks for your lovely message. I keep a regular eye on the TTC thread too and I have to say yours is the news I have everything crossed for. I do think it must be almost harder to have had the success and not get it again than to have never had it at all so I just have everything crossed that you get your rainbow soon. Have you visited fertilityfriends.co.uk at all? it's nowhere near as active as here but incredibly supportive with really thorough experience of all types of fertility issues - I used it for a couple of months when we were having tests done at the 1 year mark and it was really nice. Some quite intense stories too though, so def stick to the most relevant parts of the forum.

    Love to all :)
Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Hi everyone hope you are all doing well?

Newthrift, glad to hear everything is fine with baby! Horrible when you get a scare like that!

Rachy, I often think of you over on the TTC board and I'm so sorry you're feeling ignored! I really do hope you get your rainbow BFP soon xx

Snowscreamer, you sound all set to go! Well organised!! Hope you and April enjoy your classes when they come!

The last week has felt not stop hectic for me and to be honest I've just been exhausted! I'm now 39+5 and have the midwife later today!

Starting to get a little more uncomfortable in the evenings but it's manageable for now! Not able to walk as much as I had hope as it's just too tiring. Have ordered a gym ball to start bouncing on as s few people have told me they swear by them! Don't mind going a overdue but the thought of being induced is a nightmare for me!!
    Xx
