Hey Clara i was thinking the same - great minds!
Babymoon was lovely, had a lovely walk in the countryside, amazing food and just a nice breather.
I have to say I'm actually still feeling really well, no tiredness etc here, although I am sleeping terribly so there is some effect from that. I take it you've been tested for everything Clara? Only checking because my friend had a lot of tiredness and was tested for both iron levels and gestational diabetes - unfortunately she had the latter but felt much more her old self once she was managing it. Otherwise it just seems another of those things where everyone has different experiences I guess. Hope you're managing ok.
3.5 weeks left at work now - I finish on 28th Feb which is only 12 days before due date but to be honest I'm really not a sitting around person so I think the longer I can stay busy the better!! Baby is currently in a stupid sideways position though which could mean c-section, in which case I'd be finishing earlier but also get baby earlierhave midwife this afternoon so hoping to chat about it then.
Hope everyone else is wellxx

Glad you had a nice time away Cats
I think my tirdness is really just down to not sleeping properly. I'm fine when I don't need to get up for work and have much more energy on my days off and over the weekends. At my last midwife appointment she said she'd let me know if I needed iron tablets but I've not heard anything so can only think all is fine there. I have another appointment on the 8th.
I'm keeping really well apart from not sleeping great (mainly having to get up to pee and drinking gaviscon!) my bump is not massive but was measuring spot on last appointment. A lot of people have said I am very neat looking and can't tell from behind that I am pregnant :rotfl:
I finish work 16th March which is just over 2 weeks before due date. Like you, I'm not one for sitting around! xx0 -
Oh that's good then
sorry to hear you're having heartburn too!
Just back from midwife and she said she thinks baby is head down after all and the other midwife was wrong, but we shall see. I'm not 100% convinced either way because i feel wriggles in odd places.
I'm the same re bump - you can't tell from the back! In fact, it's very odd to think due date is only about 5 weeks away because apart from the actual bump and wriggling baby I honestly don't feel pregnant, I just feel totally normal. Guess I should make the most of that whilst I can!Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

Well the nesting has well and truly kicked in, and I keep overdoing it as I know that the chance to do it once the baby is here will evade me. I had a friend and her 2 children over today, so of course I had to clean up before they came. Unfortunately, the daughter (4) trashed the house taking the toys all over the place (including upstairs rooms), and it's taken most of the evening to track everything down and put it all away. My son (also 4) has been really good and tried to help me put everything away as he could tell I was upset about the mess, as he knew how hard I'd worked to tidy up. I'm 39 weeks tomorrow, so bending over and cleaning etc, isn't ideal. The house is looking pretty good though, so at least there's evidence of all of my hard work. Hopefully I'll have a chilled-out day tomorrow as my DH is off work (fingers tightly crossed I don't go into labour tonight or tomorrow as I need the day to catch up on energy).
Pleased to hear that the rest of your pregnancies are going well. A babymoon sounds lovely. We had a babymoon in a different sense of the word when my son was born (we didn't allow visitors for the first 2 weeks so we could bond as a family and try to sort out feeding issues).
For those with heartburn, do see your doctor - I suffered for ages just taking gaviscon and over the counter stuff with my son, and it wasn't until near the end of his pregnancy that I was prescribed omeprazole by the doctor which helped immensely. This time I went straight to the GP, so haven't suffered nearly so much.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Babymoon sounds lovely Cats
Hope you're enjoying a chilled day Mouse!
I'll join the not sleeping well club, really struggling to get comfortable now, plus my son has had me up in the night wanting to go to the toilet (nice as it is that he wants to lose the night time nappy, now is not ideal timing for me!).
Had to go for a repeat GTT yesterday. Not sure what'll happen if I'm diagnosed with GD now as it's so late on, and not seeing the consultant again until next week. Have to wait and see what the results are anyway.
Very glad baby has stayed put so far, but he can come any time after tomorrow as we'll have visitors here to provide childcare. Planning to take advantage and grab afternoon naps if needed. Really didn't appreciate how much easier it was to rest first time around!0 -
big5 how funny - my son (4) has also in the last few days decided to start going to the toilet at night instead of in his pullup and woke me at 1am this morning. I then couldn't get back to sleep again and ended up awake until 5am. I'm thrilled that he wants to use the toilet, but not so thrilled at being woken up when sleep is already so difficult, and I'm dreading it when the baby arrives and I'm being woken up by both of them!Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Oh no Mouse, not you too! There must be some preschooler handbook that we don't know about.
"When mummy is about to have another baby, she will often get up in the night to have a wee-wee. Why not join her!? She will love that! Don't worry if you have to wake her up, she will probably need to go anyway."0 -
So my sister threw me a surprise baby shower this weekend!! I wasn't going to have one for a number of reasons, but it was SO much fun and between that and NHS antenatal all day yesterday it was a very baby heavy weekend!
Getting properly excited now, hopefully only around 5 weeks to go. One of the baby shower games was to guess date and weight so we shall wait and see who is right
As an aside - our NHS antenatal was brilliant, really glad I didn't fork out for NCT. Less bonding as a group, but I have plenty around me to help make mum friends anyway. Information wise I feel very well informed.Officially Mrs B as of March 2013

That sounds like a lovely weekend cats - great news that your NHS classes were so good too.
Well I'm in that period of limbo where hospital bags have been packed and most things have been done, and it's just a case of waiting for baby to make an appearance. I've had some dull lower back ache since I woke up, but it could just as likely be due to sleep position as to anything starting. I dropped my son off at nursery this morning and everyone is asking me when I'm due and keeping an eye out to see if I've had the baby yet. It's nice in a way, but I just hope I don't go overdue or it may start to be a bit frustrating.
I hope everyone else is doing well?

Keeping everything crossed for you sexymouse that you're not waiting too long!
I've been set a hard deadline by my OH of packing my bag by this weekend when I'll be 36 weeks. I'm very chilled but he's just paranoid that if something happens it'll be left to him :rotfl:Officially Mrs B as of March 2013
