My turn to go in for reduced movements/monitoring today. Felt a few gentle wriggles after a cold drink and a lie down, but not the usual big movements so was a bit concerned. Got there at a quiet time, so was seen straight away. Everything looked ok on the monitor and at one point I could see my bump moving but just couldn't feel anything, so looks like baby's got into a position where he's kicking against the (anterior) placenta rather than me. Have felt some stronger movements since getting home, so maybe he just fancied a trip out today.

Amazing what goes through your head when you think there's something wrong, found myself stressed that we haven't discussed a middle name yet!?

  • Sorry you had a trip for reduced movement too big5! Glad everything is all clear :) what worry these little ones put us through!

I had my first combined pregnancy yoga/antenatal class last night. I enjoyed it but a tad sore this morning from all the stretching I'm not used to! I've been feeling a few twinging pains in the pelvic area over the last couple of days too so hoping the yoga helps with this!!

Off work now until Wednesday now and off on a mini babymoon this weekend with DH, can't wait! I have a prenatal massage booked that I got as a birthday present :)

We also have no names for baby so hoping some relaxing time away together will give us some inspiration!:rotfl:

Aw yey Clara hope you have a lovely time away :) we have one next weekend which I'm really looking forward to.

My latest stress is that our little madam is lying in a very silly position - transverse. In theory midwives don't mind until 36 weeks but I'm almost 33 and she's been there a while so I'm a bit worried she's wedged and won't move. If she won't, it's a definite c section and potentially quite a spell in hospital beforehand due to the risks of going into labour. fun fun!!

Trying to stay positive and doing all sort of weird exercises involving hanging upside down and all sorts :rotfl: fingers crossed it works!! bit frustrating as I've been super active throughout which is supposed to be good for baby's positioning but seems not to have mattered...ah well.

Sounds lovely Clarabell, enjoy your weekend away!

Hope your baby gets into a better position for you Cats. My son was head up for ages and when he finally turned at around 36 weeks I knew all about it! This baby has been head down for the last 8 weeks or so and I've got my fingers crossed he stays that way.

Movements are back to normal today, trying not to complain when the kicks hurt!

How's everyone doing? It's very quiet on here lately. I'm nearly there with all of the washing and organising of the baby bits (have ordered a new change mat on eBay as our old one was split, as well as a big brother t-shirt for my son).

I'm 37+4 today and really should have my bag packed by now, but I seem to have a mental block about actually doing it. Most stuff is layed out in our chest of drawers but I need to do little things like decant the shower gel into a travel bottle and assemble my toiletries in general.

I've gone from having quite a bit of energy to being exhausted again lately which isn't helping the motivation. I think it is the lack of sleep at night.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Sexymouse pack your bag! My SIL ended up buying a blanket and a couple of other bits at the hospital a fortnight ago as she was 37 weeks, and as she had a quick/uncomplicated labour was ready to go home same day so get OH hasn't been back to the house to pick stuff up. Another friend has just had hers at 36.5 and was similarly not quite ready, and in fact had no dry baby stuff as she'd literally just put it on the wash, oops!

Well baby's bag is all packed (photo contents guide printed and put inside on top for anyone who needs to find bits if I can't tell them where they are for any reason), labelled and by the front door. I had intended to put everything in the new changing bag (including my stuff), but realised there wouldn't be enough room to do so as nappies etc are bulky. Blanket and little coat wouldn't fit in baby's bag, so are in the car seat ready to go, and I'll also put a carrier bag in the boot of my car with the rest of the pack of nappies and cotton wool etc in just in case my DH needs to pop back to the car to get extra supplies at any point.

Just need to sort my bag now. lol

Aww not long sexymouse!! I'm going to get out the hospital bag lust this weekend and start putting it together - OH keeps nagging as I'm almost 34 weeks and he knows lots of people who have had early babies.

Need to buy a changing bag though - any recommendations?

cats the best hospital list I found was from the verbaudet site actually as it was a good checklist type as well as having a notes box empty at the bottom (I made a list for DH in there). My change bag, I bought on ebay in the end as I wanted a rucksack style one this time around as I thought it would be easier than an over-shoulder or holdall type. I can wear it when wearing baby in the sling then, or mine has straps to clip it onto the pushchair if necessary (though this would only work for me if baby is world-facing rather than parent-facing, which I realised afterwards). [FONT=&quot]This is the change bag I bought. It's bigger than I expected, but should be OK still. There are similar styles on ebay too if you wanted to check the dimensions and choose a smaller one.
