  • You would say that psychopathbabble because you were also naughty and started posting on this thread before you should have been.

I don't know! Forum members these days...
no respect for the rules :naughty:

A rule breaker that's me :rotfl:

It doesn't actually state that it's for 24+, it's just called the pregnancy thread :p

It seems to have all been sorted now re visitors thankfully. DH has spoken to his mum and just said they will be the first to know baby has arrived and they can then book the next flight down. They seem happy with that... Although she did say that she had been thinking about it and when DH was born they did just want a few days together as the three of them to get used to it. It's just difficult when we live so far apart, it's not like they can just pop in any time!

  • Glad you managed to getvtge visitors issue sorted.

Was hoping to go for a walk today just to get out and about but it's really raining here so looks like that won't be happening.
  • Baby now has somewhere to sleep as we've put the cot together today, and we've also had a play with the monitor and its now on charge. We really are ready for him now so hopefully he will get a wriggle on!!

Wahhh, 2nd in line now! Welcome pp :)

That's me on annual leave now until my mat leave kicks in, mixed feelings about finishing work but I definitely have lots to do to keep me busy!

We went to mother care today and spent a voucher we had, got a few nice things which we probably wouldn't have bought otherwise as I felt like they were quite pricey.

I'm going to write myself a to do list to try and plough through before baby arrives now... I hope everyone is having a good day.
  • to seeing the list and being reminded I'm so close!

Just ordered some flat sheets, a change mat for upstairs and a nursing bra that I'm hoping will fit! its difficult buying a nursing bra in advance as it's hard to tell how many cup sizes I will go up and how much the under the bust measurement will go down, but it's free returns if it's no good and not very expensive if it doesn't fit for long but fingers crossed it will be suitable as at least at starting point.
  • You may be 2nd based on EDD Becky :naughty:

But we'll beat you to second - I have no doubt!

Unfortunately I think ThinkPink has too much of a lead to get gold :(- but I'm going for silver!
    Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

    Savings target June 18 - £22,281.99 / £25,000
  • I've worked out if I were to be induced this would be the 24th so you could beat me to it if my baby is late and yours is early.

I'm at the stage now where I'm too worried to leave the house on my own in case my waters break, but I might try and get out with oh tomorrow as I hate being indoors all the time!

yay at finishing work Beckyy. I was worried how I would feel about finishing work but I've not thought or worried about it all and I've been off 5 weeks now!

Haha, it's a very strong possibility Freddie! Baby wasn't engaged at all at my MW appointment this week so guessing he's planning on staying put for a little while yet at least.

Do you feel ready yet ThinkPink? Hope you manage to get out for some fresh air tomorrow :)
  • I'm ready in that I really want him here now and we have all the essentials we need, but I don't think I'm ready for labour as I've just not thought about it. I've done my birth plan so am ready in terms of that, but I don't think I'm ready or prepared for the pain or experience of labour, but im quite happy with that at the moment!
