Eek!! Maybe the baby stuff is different. Everyone I've spoken says they go the extra mile with the baby stuff (Crosses fingers lol).February wins: Theatre tickets0

Pyschopathbabble I don't think I'd be happy to use that car seat. The straps are what keeps the baby in the seat and the base or seat belt are what keeps the seat secured in the car. Imagine the force of a head - on / high speed crash or where, god forbid, the car ends up in a roll. You don't want any strap to give way. As the edges have actually gone in places I think there's now a weakness there which could snap at high force.
John lewis never delivered our car seat on multiple occassions and my poor husband had to go buy one late the night our daughter was born having not slept the night before.
You should get a lot of use out of a new seat unless your baby is very heavy. My daughter was in her group 0+ Maxi Cosi until she was 13/14 months. The newer seats, due to the new laws, are based on height rather than weight and are more designed to be used until 15 months (although some babies will outgrow them). I'm looking at one of the Kiddy ones and might give away my old seat.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
I personally don't think I would risk the car seat, it may be fine, it may not be and therefore I would go on the side of caution and replace it- if it is a fairly new car seat it may be worth contacting the manufacturer and seeing if they sell the harness as a spare part (if it is part of the harness that can be removed).
I was so tired yesterday it was a struggle to get through the day and all I could think was that baby better not start arriving as I really wouldn't have had the energy, luckily a nice early night and lay in and sleeping through the night means I'm feeling so much better this morning!!0 -
My DH was 10lb something when he was born so hopefully our baby takes after us!
Glad we cleaned it and looked at it last night, at least it gives us time to decide. I'm just waiting for a mothercare voucher and then I'll order it.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

I was 9lb 1/4oz and DH was 9lb 4oz. I was expecting Mia to be well over 9lb as she was 2 weeks over, but she was only 7lb 15oz. So parents size isn't always an indicator of baby's weight lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0

Thanks for your supportive comments
We are now down a loss of 8.6% so hoping we are now on the right track! Going to local bfing group tomorrow to confirm no tongue tie and then hopefully we can just keep feeding.
I'm a bit late on the nursing bra front but mine were from amazon! Made by ilovesia, they have detachable straps and inbuilt pads, only £14 for two from memory and I really like them.
Hubby is off out this Saturday to a beer festival, he's really earned a break but I'm a little worried about being on my own! Fortunately a friend has said she'll pop down for a bit and I think he will miss us too much to stay all day. He's not back at work until the 19th either, not sure how people do it when their other halves only have a week off!
Very happily married on 10th April 2013

Jtr- glad to hear your lo has put on some weight. Just looked at those nursing bras, they look so comfy but I think I would need a proper cupped size bra, I really should go and measured asap!!
Not much going on here, still impatient and wanting my little one to arrive, but not much in the way of signs it's going to be anytime soon!!
My oh is going to have two weeks off, we decided that would be enough, plus he would still have a few days to take between then and Christmas if necessary.0
