That's nice to here euronorris.
We were just watching Strictly and it said about when the live shows will be starting, when I realised the date is a week before our due date

Thanks ladies. In fairness the midwives are fine and telling me not to worry too much, to just keep feeding but not sure if that will change tomorrow.
I've been to a support group and everything looks OK so hoping we just needed a few more days. I have a private lactation consultant details if I need to get someone out. She's been feeding lots today and I can see milk in her mouth when she unlatched so that's pleasing!
Are you getting wet and dirty nappies? If so, I wouldn't worry. It may just have been that your milk took a little longer to come in, so she was on colostrum for longer (which is plenty for those first few days).
As for Nursing bras, I got mine from Boots. An Emma Jane one. £12. It's stretchy. But not a great size selection so worth shopping around. Definitely do stretchy as your boob size will vary throughout the day. I'd also get just one or two max before baby is here, and then get some more a week or so after birth - once milk has come in and you're sure of size. Do get a few though, as I often end up with milk on mine where Mia dribbles some out at the end of a feed. It's fine for a few hours, but you will want to change or you'll just end up smelling of sour milk! LolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Hope all works out with the feeding jtr. Glad to hear that all is going well with the feeding Euro.
It's scary how quickly time is going now, although I'm totally ready for him to come now, so tired and achey today. No idea how I'm going to get through the day tomorrow I have an early start and I have an 8year old to keep entertained!! Hopefully she will bring lots of things with her!!!
Maternity leave officially starts tomorrow!!0 -
Not long now ThinkPink!
Thanks for the bra suggestions, will check them out.
I had a look in the Asda baby event today, they didn't have a huge amount but I got a couple more moses/pram sheets, 3 for £5. A bit more than B&M ones cost but more colour choice and still very reasonable.
I'm planning a list of things to start batch cooking once I've finished work, hoping I get enough time to make them all as I really want to have a good stock there ready for us to just heat up when needed.
How is everyone doing today?0 -
I haven't done any batch cooking, was going to but just don't have the space in the freezer!!
I'll have to have a look in asda as I could do with a couple more sheets for the carry cot.0 -
I'm
Planning to batch cook some bolognese and pasta sauces etc when I finish work. Whether I have any Mojo to do that at the time is another story!
Had a lovely day with friends visiting yesterday. Had a lazy ish day today but DH just pointed out my feet are swollen. Thanks darling! Luckily not too bad and just glad I hadn't had it so far... My poor cousin is a hairdresser and has had terribly swollen feet in the heat recently even though she's a couple of months behind me.
I was also tagged in a tesco baby event that is coming up soon, hotdealsuk had the info on their Facebook page.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

I really struggled the other day when it was raining as I have lived in a pair of sandals that have fitted fine when they swell, but had to wear shoes, I tried some boots but even though they have buckles they were still too tight so I settled on some lace up brogues I managed to get on!!0

We always have batches of pasta sauce or curry in the freezer. Barely manage to fit anything in it.
If I ever cook a sauce I always do large quantities so we have left overs.
OH's maternity leave starts tomorrow too! It's going to feel weird going back to work and leaving her at home. Thinking about when baby will come - dont think I'll be concentrating.
Mind you I'm only doing 3 days at the moment, so there's a good chance that I'll be here when he's on his way.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Fingers crossed Freddie baby will start to make an appearance on one of your non working days. My oh can be working two miles down the road or 40 miles down the road, (the furthest is probably 100 miles but luckily thats not very often), luckily his boss has pencilled him in for Iocal days this week, and will probably do similar (although maybe 15-20 miles away) next week.
I was thinking the slow cooker is probably going to get used loads this winter as I can quickly chuck stuff in it in the morning then get on with the day without trying to fit in time to cook!! Plus it's big enough for me to cook two or three days worth of dinners.
Did another wash of baby bits today, I love seeing it all drying, it looks so cute!! Hospital bag is all packed now, added all the bits that were just left on top plus something to wear home.0 -
Antenatal class changing and bathing baby - we just watched, I didn't get to play with the doll
Got some free nappies. Was interesting seeing how other people's bumps had changed.
