Wow congratulations JTR2803! What a lovely name for your little girl.
I'm so glad it went well and you had no interventions on the end. I couldn't make out if you actually used the pool but I hope it was nice if you did.
Sorry, was probably a bit garbled! I used it to deliver her in the end as I had wanted to hold on till I was really struggling with pain before using water. We just had no idea how far I was already. I was worried I was pushing without being dilated but I couldn't stop it! Having been induced last time and never feeling that urge....wow!
Hubby said that seeing me give birth is the most amazing experience of his life. He watched all the stitching up as well :rotfl:

Thank you Freddie. There's been lots of girls recently, but it seems like the next lot due are mostly boys. Most people's at my antenatal seemed to be having boys too!!0
-
I feel like we'd only ever have boys. I would like to have a girl too. One of each ideally. But I feel like we're more likely to end up all boys. OH thinks the same too.
Despite the fact most of her cousins (from 9 aunts and uncles!) are girls. My family is 50/50.
Would be happy either way though!
OH was talking other day about whether next time she'd want to keep gender as a surprise. But we decided there's no point - as I would not be able to stop myself from finding out - I'd be able to tell on the scan.
I knew from our 12 week scan picture that it was a boy without being told. Was really obvious!Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

It's funny isn't it how it all works out. I'm from a family full of girls, and the cousin ratio works out one boy for every 7 girls!! However, now me and my cousins are having our own children the ratio at the moment is currently 1 girl for five boys!!
I always imagined myself with a girl, but having taken us quite a long time to get this little one and the journey we had to get here, by the time we found out we were having a bit wE were just desperate for a healthy pregnancy and baby that we really weren't bothered whether it was a boy or girl. I'm not sure whether we will have more than one, I've always imagined myself with just one child, but who knows!!0 -
I think I'd probably find out again if we had another. I've always thought along the lines of it doesn't really matter so why not and I'd be too curious not to be analysing every single scan pic if we didn't! There were quite a few at antenatal classes who hadn't find out and were wishing they had for buying less neutral.
The list of things we're needing is getting shorter now. Went to a 'meet the health visitor session' this week too, it's instead of prenatal home visit which they're meant to be starting sometime in the future I think. It was informative and quite informal, put my mind at rest as so many people seem to be unhappy with their HV.
They also advised not to buy any toiletries for baby and said they're pretty much all unnecessary initially and to avoid baby oil totally - sunflower oil or coconut oil for moisturising if required.0 -
I found myself the other day getting really upset about the baby we lost last year.
It was when we were on our way to a lovely seaside town that we like to visit and I said 'this'll be the first time we've taken baby there since being pregnant - no hang on, we've been before haven't we'
Then I realised that that was with our first pregnancy and I got really upset thinking about it. It's the first time since when it happened that It's hit me like that.
I'm so happy that we're having a healthy baby and can't believe how close it is now. But I don't think it'll ever change the fact that I know we lost our first - even as early as it was - wondering if they were a girl or boy, what we would have called them.
Feeling so regretful that we hadn't been able to get to this stage with them.
I think I just assumed that we'd get on, get pregnant again and we'd forget all about it - but obviously not!Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
