Catherine was 7lbs 15oz at birth and quite long (52cm I think) and she went into newborn clothes. 0-3 was absolutely massive. We moved into 0-3 about 5 weeks old so definitely wort while having a few bits of newborn stuff for us.
Can I also say how much of a pain in the bum outfits are. Sleepsuits and vests all the way!
She was 11 weeks yesterday. Can't believe it.0 -
We've just got the next2me crib too, hoping it will work out ok!
Everyone seems to be quite organised with their clothes! Think we need to have a look through what we have and make a list of what we need.
Our baby is measuring small too Freddie, we're both a bit above average height so wasn't what we'd really expect but the consultant said as long as she stays on the same growth line then it's fine. Her being on the small side doesn't stop her giving me a good kick!
I had the lucozade test this morning so wasn't able to eat from 7pm last night, then had to drink lucozade at 7am, then couldn't eat til after the blood test. I thought I would struggle with getting hungry, as it makes me feel sick but I was fine. The heartburn was more annoying as I couldn't have any gaviscon before bed.
Another week closer to the due date  seems to be coming up very fast! Hoping to use the bank holiday weekend to get a load of stuff done on the house. We're also going to mothercare on Sunday to look at prams and car seats.0 -

I don't want to co-sleep but apparently it's so much easier for night feeds being able to scoop them across rather than having to get up and lift them out. We also have a super king bed on the way... I can't wait to hopefully sleep a little better (as much as my bump will let me anyway!), but we also went up to a bigger bed so there is plenty of room when the baby is bigger and climbs in in the morning :rotfl:
It does make it easier and I was especially glad to have it after my c-section. Plus, if she stirs a little in the night ( but not fully awake) it's much easier to just switch the mobile on or give her her dummy (which we weren't going to do but gave into two days ago lol) and she settles back to sleep.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Random question but how many of you ladies were told to carry your notes with you from 20 weeks?
I was told this at my initial booking in appointment, yet my cousin and another friend who are under the same NHS care as me (different hospitals but same group if that makes sense) were never told this? My friend wondered why I carried my notes with me when we went on a day trip to Birmingham... I explained what I had been told and she hadn't been told this, even though she commutes to London every day! Am I the only one who has been told this?Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Definitely glad I got our snuzpod then!
Just planning my week out and hoping sods law will kick in and I'll have to cancel it all. Just about to get some shopping, think I'll make some cupcakes today and maybe some truffles. Tomorrow I have midwife and Wednesday I've arranged to meet my doula for lunch.
According to my growth scan at 32+4 she will be about 8lb now...I really think she will be around 7lb but hopefully we will find out soon

Was told similar to you, it's a just in case thing. I drove to work and just kept them in the car. They aren't exactly small so not sure I'd want to carry them on a train!

I was told to take them with me if I go away anywhere. I don't carry them with me on a daily basis though. I can see why you would take them with you if you go out of your NHS area, day to day I wouldn't worry unless you travel out of area a lot but I can understand why some people would, or are recommended to.0 -
Never heard that one before psycho. The only time I have my notes with me or was told to have them with me, are appointments. Just put them in my bag now for hospital as this morning was what I think/hope will be my last midwife appointment.
Got one booked for two weeks, but it's right after due date, she says she doubts she will see me again. Fingers crossed. Everything seems to be moving along. Head is engaged, BP not quite as stupidly low as its been. She kept laughing because she said bump looks tiny ( which everyone says, but it doesn't to me!) but measures exactly on the central line where she should be. She says she feels like a long baby. Help! I'm really short, about 5 foot 4, husband is over a foot taller than me. So she might thankfully get his height and not mine.Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120 -
Freddie- we went to Ikea for opening time, it was nice and quiet. I tend to find first thing or later in the day the best times to go. We just had a slow walk around, it was manageable but I was tired after!! We have a couple of units from the stuva range, I liked that we could arrange it as we want. We already had a kallax unit in that room in birch with white drawers and the stuva units matched it perfectly.
I've never been told to carry them with me. I was going to put them in my car when I was at work as it's about a 30-45 min drive , but never did get round to it!! I think if I go anywhere more than 10 miles from home now I'll try and remember to take them with me. My friend used to carry hers everywhere from 12 weeks but I don't know many people who have.
Hope your little one doesn't keep you waiting too long jtr.
I cannot believe I'm 36 weeks today, it only feels about 10 weeks ago I walked down the stairs shaking to ask oh if he could see two lines!!!0 -
Weird how it's so different... I just changed the bag I use daily so they fit in there, otherwise I probably wouldn't remember them even for my appointments! Didn't cause me any bother on the train, they are just in the bag anyway. Keeping them in the car is a good idea though.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16
