I don't have a lot in the 0-1 month size because I don't think it's worth getting things that small, I don't think she will even get in them, but 0-3 month so they'll last longer she has loads. There's at least 30 sleep suits and must be pushing the same in body suits plus all her other clothes. I got them all washed and ironed and put away so I don't need to think about it. The wardrobe and drawers and all packed and there's two big storage tubs full of clothes, so I don't need to worry about rushing to wash anything. I thought at first she'd have enough with 10 or so sleep suits and it was plenty. But so many mums said not a chance and that with so few, especially early on, that wouldn't last a week and I'd be constantly washing them.
Same with muslins. I got a few packs and maybe had 10 again. Everyone said get more and I'm glad I have now.
She doesn't quite have as many sleep and body suits in bigger sizes, but there's at least 20 again in 3-6 and 6-9, plus all the other clothes. They're all packed in boxes, labelled up with sizes waiting to come out when I put the other things away.Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120 -
We got some newborn/0-1 month in one of the bundles we bought from one of the local selling pages. It was a steal, some still had labels on and would have been quite expensive from new. Definitely worth looking out for on gumtree etc. as it's saved us a fortune and meant we have a little bit of all sizes.0

So glad Bfing is going well flutter, I think I came across some of your posts on the baby centre forum too. The ladies on there are so helpful!
Definitely try not to worry too much Freddie and Mrs Freddie, so many manual measurements like that can vary depending on who does them (another reason I am declining vaginal exams in labour).
40+1 today, we had a relatively lazy afternoon yesterday and then went to the coast for fish and chips, crazy golf and an ice cream although unfortunately OH lost most of his to an overly aggressive seagull, I felt so bad for him! No signs really, not too worried, I have guessed all along she would arrive Tuesday ish so interesting to see if she does.
I've actually bought quite a bit of newborn and 0-1 month. DD was 6lb 6 and even newborn swamped her. My friends little girl was 8lb 8 at birth and even she was in new born for a few weeks. It's not just the weight but the length of them too. I bought an extra pack of 3 newborn sleepsuits from Asda and kept them in the pack so if I don't need them I can return them. Most of my 0-3 goes up to 14lb so I think I'd struggle to find a 7lb baby in one of those!
Really chuffed as managed to get a carrycot for my oyster 2 on a facebook selling page for £35, they retail at £119 new and this looks like it's in great condition. I am not convinced we will use it much but for £35 I am not too worried.

We've just sorted out baby's clothes and put it all away. I think I will get some more like n new born/ up to one month, actually jtr that's a good idea, I'll get them about 2 weeks before my due date and keep them in the packaging so if they are too small I can take them back, but having looked this morning at size guides 0-3 tends to go up to 14.5 lb which really would swap a 7lb baby, and I really can't see us having a long baby!!!
Oh that's a great bargain on the carry cot jtr, we got the carry cot but it was reduced and as baby is going straight into a small cot on our room I thought the carry cot would be handy for downstairs naps.0 -
Pretty sure the lady at asda said we could return them for up to 3 months? Not entirely sure that's right but hopefully we will have enough time anyway.
We seem to be well covered on the sleep front as we can lift the top off our snuzpod, and I bought a sleepyhead from a friend and then we will have the carrycot too. I was thinking the carrycot might be better for walks as we live five minutes from a huge and lovely public park. I'm counting on the weather staying nice of course!
I was looking at my baby rail this morning and the sizes really do vary between shops and brands. My newborn bits are between 7lb 8 (next) and 7lb 11 (Morrisons) then firs size in asda is 9lb but one month in next is about 10lb I think.

At 7lb 15oz, tiny baby was too small for Mia, Newborn fit OK (a little big at first) and 0-3 months was too big until she was 4-5 weeks old.
I think it's worth having 1 or 2 small baby items in, just in case. That way you haven't spent much if not needed, but you buy yourself some time to get extra clothes in if baby is small.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Glad it's not just me, I've read some posts on other forums where people have 20+ sleepsuits and 20+ bodysuits in every size! We have 4x next first size sleep suits, a five pack of new born vests then 3x up to one month sleepsuits. I imagine that our baby won't be that long as I'm just about 5ft, but just depends if he is a chunk!! There is a Tesco close to whichever birthing unit we opt for so if oh has to dash there once baby is here then I really dont think he will mind!!
We seem to have bought most things in 0-3 and 3-6, but we still dont have loads. It's been as I've seen cute bargains I've picked things up!!
My girls only started fitting into 0-3 about 2 weeks ago, and they're not exactly diddy babies (12 and 13lbs respectively). Early baby clothes fit for a few weeks and newborn fit them for just over three months. 0-3 still looks massive on them!
I had loads of newborn clothes and lots of 0-3. I've got about 12-15 sleepsuits then probably the same in bodysuits and vests. About 6 rompers, loads of leggings and tshirts, then about 5 dresses each or so.
Must remember to purchase sleepsuits and bodysuits in 3-6 and 6-9 months. Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Yes they are brilliant over there. None of my friends ever BF'd, only my SIL has and I'm not that close to her that I feel comfortable asking certain things :rotfl:. Had our 5 day check today and in 2 days Lenny has put on 5 ounces so BFing is doing him good!
Re clothing sizes, we were told to expect a 10lb+ baby (he was 8lb12 in the end though), so I didn't buy any newborn, and just 1 up to 1mth outfit. Rest were 0-3, 3-6 etc. Even the up to 1 month outfir is big on him, especially the legs.
Today Lenny met my brother, SIL and nephew (18mths) and my grandma, was lovely to have a housefull but am knackered now! My SIL has given us a binbag full of 0-3mth clothes etc and a sling to lend. :T. My nan bought the baby a owl similar to the Ewan, and gave us some money too.
We have decided to rent a Bednest which should arrive in the week. We wanted to wait until we knew if BFing would work as wouldn't need one otherwise. I'm finding it a struggle to lift him out of Moses basket at night cos my carpel tunnel is worse then, plus I like to idea of just scooping him across. It should arrive by Weds. We are also going to get us a new king size bed as I don't feel comfortable feeding him laying down when OH is in our double too as there isn't much room left!* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

We have a Next2me crib for this reason... I don't want to co-sleep but apparently it's so much easier for night feeds being able to scoop them across rather than having to get up and lift them out. We also have a super king bed on the way... I can't wait to hopefully sleep a little better (as much as my bump will let me anyway!), but we also went up to a bigger bed so there is plenty of room when the baby is bigger and climbs in in the morning :rotfl:Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

I was 6lb 8 when I was born (on due date). OH was tiny but she was 4 weeks premature. We're both still quite small.
So it wouldn't be surprising if baby was little!
I've got the worktop fitted, tiling done, upstands fitted and mist coat done. So I'm hoping to start painting today. Once that's done I'll have done all the things that NEED to be done before we can use kitchen normally again.
Hopefully builders will be back again today - seen nothing of them Thursday onwards. Meant to be tiling the extension roof. I can see this dragging on! Already a month longer now than originally intended.
At least it's on the outside of the house so can kind of forget about it. I was hoping to get garden sorted though before baby comes - it's horrendous at the moment (building site)
I want to go to IKEA as their cots and wardrobes/storage look good value. Convincing OH to go will be tricky. She doesn't like being in the car now makes her achey and last time we went to IKEA was awful - completely packed, toilets out of order and you get pushed along like cattle. You don't want to be getting jostled by morons when you're heavily pregnant.
Will have to pick timing carefully!Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
