Thanks beckyy. I've just had a bit of walk up and down the high St. My hips and back hurt if I do too much walking sadly. And it's pouring down! May attempt swimming on Thursday as OH and his kids want a day out.* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

Sorry to hear that flutter. Get those tears out if you need to. Totally understand xxFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0

I have got one pack of thick pads and one pack of thinner packs so will definitely need to pick up more thicker pads.
Oh sorry to hear things didn't go as you had hoped with the sweep flutter.
Beckyy- I'm the same, don't really want to spend lots for things to wear in labour, but there are a few things I will have to buy, but will try and find things as cheap as possible- I'm thinking maybe I just need to go to primark for cheapy nightwear etc.
I'm starting to really struggle now, just moving about the house or office takes twice as long and uses up about all my energy!! I am glad that I'm finishing work this week as I don't think I could cope with much longer, but I'm also worried I'm going to get bored- as I thought I would be able to do lots (around the house and socially) but I'm not so sure I can now!!0 -

Im the same at the moment. Some days I'm great and get loads done around the house but some days I can barely move. Just taking the bins out today, mopping and sweeping, cooking some meals to freeze for lazy days and sorting the washing has floored me. It seems to be since she has shifted position as its only happened these last few days. Til then I've been able to do everything as normal and not had any problems. She's a lot more uncomfortable to me and bending down for anything isn't really something I can do any more without quite a bit of pain.
So some days I'm bored, sat around reading the kindle and some magazines and doing very little, hoping the next day I can do more. I never thought I'd be bored off work..but, I'm getting there. Even worse, husband goes back to work on Thursday. He's all better after the op and able to go back. So I know that'll at least force me off my bum and to get jobs done. My to-do list won't do itself
Still, at least it's not stopped me sleeping. That is still not a problem.Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120 -
Sleep, what's that? :rotfl:
I think today I can say I am ready. I have crossed all the important things on my list off, if she came tonight we have enough stuff sorted. This means she will probably hang on for another two weeks!

Good luck Flutter and anyone else due very soon
I am sure it can be boring not being able to do much but it won't be long before you wish you didn't have anything to do!
We finally got the cot up today, it's fab... really pleased with it! All the big bits are done, now we can take our time with everything else. Am currently waiting to see what mothercare offer me as a 'gesture of goodwill' but not expecting much! Apart from cot building today, haven't done much at all. I think yesterday took it out of me a bit but I am ready to go out and do something tomorrow now!
Good tip with the maternity pads thank you, I have boots slim ones but I'll make sure I stock up on some sturdier ones! Got my GTT next week and although you are meant to eat normally beforehand, I have eaten even more rubbish than usual these last few days so really need to try and be better for the rest of the week... I feel really MEH today and I think it's partly down to my diet, I do feel better when I'm eating better too!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Just getting up in the morning is a struggle at the moment, even my knees are aching loads!! It's little things but even things like twisting the thing to put the plug hole down I had to use two hands this morning as I couldn't grip it enough with one hand as my fingers hurt so much, and cleaning my teeth takes ages as it hurts my fingers to grip my toothbrush!!
People keep telling me of people who recently had their baby's at 34 weeks, I'm trying not to panic as we are so not ready yet. If baby came now it would be a case of chucking what we have on a case and hoping there's enough to see us through!! We also haven't had a practice run of putting the isofix base and car seat in and the cot that baby is going straight into is still in it's box but we have other things we need to do before that can be put together!!
Work have agreed for me to go in a bit later this week so it's nice not having to rush about!!0 -
Even if it happened thinkpink, you could just ask friends and family to bring you things you're missing. We've found that, grandparents especially, loved to feel useful by bringing a few extra babygrows, disposable maternity briefs (in a size that actually fit me!) etc. Even since we've been home, they still like to bring something each time (like bread, milk etc).
All those articles which say don't be afraid to ask for help are right. It helps you, and they feel happy to have been of help (my mum especially loved this as she says she feels useless if she can't provide something 'tangible').February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Yes, that's what I was thinking/ hoping. If he came today I would just need to get someone to pop in and put his cot together, and if there are car seat issues and we had to I know how to belt in the car seat etc.
I am aware though of needing to get the right balance otherwise some people may start to take over, tell me what to do etc, so whilst I will ask for help when I need it I will also need to be strong enough to say 'thank you very much but we are ok today' without sounding really ungrateful!!0 -
We are going to start sorting out the hospital bag when we come back from holiday.
My Dad has been repainting the crib that he made for me when I was first born, just waiting for the mattress to arrive that we ordered to fit it. He's using specialist paint for wooden baby toys.
So we're not rushing to get a cot, although we'll probably get one before baby comes.
Still got so many expenses coming up! Doing up the new extension and finishing the kitchen refresh.
We're going to replace the laminate flooring in the living room. Firstly because it looks crap - it was either DIY job by previous owner or a really bad fitter. The gaps around the edge are too big - beading doesn't cover it, the beading just drops down the gaps. But it's also just too cold, echoey and uncomfortable.
Don't want baby to get sore knees when he starts crawling.
I was toying with the idea of having vinyl to replace it. We got a really nice wood effect vinyl for the kitchen/diner - looks more realistic than the laminate! Was thinking has the benefit of being comfier and warmer than the laminate but easier to clean than carpet.
However I think I've gone back to wanting carpet as the vinyl would sit too low and make all of the doors leading off from the living room too high. It's also still easier to damage than a carpet.
Was dissa pointed to find out that builder only comes back from his holiday today - I thought it was just last week he was away. So they won't be back working til Thursday and we come back on Friday.
The whole reason for us booking to go away now was so that OH would be out of the house for some time while the work was going on.
It also means it's further delayed again - it was meant to have been finished two weeks ago. Oh well.
I hope everyone who's waiting for their baby won't have to wait too much longer! Sorry you're feeling so achey ThinkPinkMortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
