I'll have to have a look in asda, I doubt I would wear it again though as I struggle to get swimwear that is supportive, so whilst it would probably be fine for labour it probably won't be any good for swimming etc after, but I don't mind spending a tenner, but wouldn't want to spend much more.

Will have to look in mothercare too.

Oh, make sure you have some big knickers packed. If you have a section, or even with natural but require stitches, you won't want anything sitting on your scar, or digging into any stitches down there. The disposable maternity pants I had came up ridiculously small!!! By about 2-3 sizes!!

And take loads of maternity pads. Better to have too many than not enough. I bled more than I expected. Everyone is different though.

Mothercare suggest 48 pads, I ran out and ended up on maxi pads for about 3 weeks!

I've got vest and shorts for labour plus my bikini for the pool and just yoga style pants and vests for after. Nothing special or particular really.

I bought a lightweight dressing gown from asda when I was having my uvb treatment so that's in the bag with big knickers and pads.

That's it, it's August, unless I go to 42+4 she's being born this month!

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

I took 20 with me to the hospital and that was only just enough. At home I got through another 2 packs of 20 and a pack of 10 before being able to switch to a lighter pad.

Am still spotting now and it's exactly 4 weeks today!

I also understand that maternity pads are preferred over sanitary pads if you have stitches down there. The top, weaved, layer of standard pads can catch on stitches otherwise.

Worst comes to the worst, the hospital have some. Lady next to me ran out and they gave her some to tide her over.

Also, 8 nappies was not enough for the first day for my little one. She pooped soooo much!!! So I'd recommend taking more than that. I had to send DH to the closest shop and they only had size 3's, which I had to make do with until he could get some size 1's, and just prayed they'd hold out! Lol

  • Thanks for all the section information yesterday. Just in from the scan and looking like I won't need one after all.
Placenta Previa has cleared, and she's in position ready to go! Thought she was maybe moving into position with feeling a lot of cramps lately, but surprised she's already there.
So. All good thankfully. We get to meet her this month!

    Good news crazy.

Still nothing. Least I know I'm definitely having my baby this month :rotfl:. I had another clary sage bath last night, whilst drinking pineaple juice! Just going to try and relax and not get worked up about it. I will try get a little walk in today but it's currently raining so will wait a bit.
