Argh. Too warm. Melting. It's very unpleasant. I seriously don't think people who haven't swallowed a watermelon know how warm it gets when you have to walk about, do jobs..or move at all with all the extra weight. Been to the supermarket this morning (for every cold thing we could lay our hands on) and I feel like that's me done for the day.
Sadly we have to go for walks throughout the day to help husband after his op the other day. At least all the ironing mountain got done yesterday before it hit 30 degrees. I found my niece and nephew's paddling pool under the sink the other day. I wonder if it's too undignified for a 34 year old woman to sit in the garden in one.Book a week challenge: 11/52. Hey Ladies, hope you are all well and keeping as cool as possible in this weather!
Just trying to catch up with this thread as I like to know how you are all doing. Huge congrats to Gelly and Tata, fantastic news on your little ones.
Little/big Joshua is doing well, 17 days old now and on his last weigh day last week he was weighing 9lb 2oz so is doing really well, he is currently wriggling around in his nappy it is just so warm.

crazy-cat- I was a bit like that about branded nappies and thought id be pampers all the way except they didn't hold in breastfed baby poo in the same way that asdas little angels do so they are what we buy now!
Gelly and Tata fantastic news ! congratulations! X
thinking of you all in the heat, it was roasting when i was 38-39weeks pregnant and i just couldn't do anything except sit!
Great news about Joshua too skint, it is roasting here for baby moneypenny too, saving on the washing as just lying in nappies!!9lb2 is great, DD is now 9lb at 4 weeks!

I'm also 34 and contemplating this! The only thing putting me off is having to blow it up and fill it via a bowl as we don't have a hosepipe! :rotfl:* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

Oh I would so have loved to sit in the shade with my feet dipped in a cold paddling pool today. My feet are getting so swollen by the end of the day, I've taken the spare duvet out the spare room and have been going to bed with my feet slightly elevated, it does at least help the swelling to be reduced in the morning!! I'm also quite limited on what I can wear to work when it's this hot, but really dont want to spend any more money on maternity bits, once I've finished work in ten days time it will be much easier to get dressed in the morning!!0

I currently do Monday, Tuesday and Thursday - leaving Wednesday and Friday - I do jobs around the house and domestic stuff (cleaning/washing)
We said when I got the job that that would be handy considering we were wanting to try for a baby.
However I found out a few months ago that my hours would be changing. Two full days and Two afternoons.
My journey is 45 miles round trip, so spreading it over the extra day for no extra money wasn't great. It's also not as good for childcare.
However yesterday I managed to find a way around the reason for the change, so I'm back to three full days again.
I'm really pleased! Will be so much better when the baby comes.
I hope you're all coping alright in the heat!
OH had her whooping cough jab. It was alright the nurse was good just did it straight away in a flash while still talking. Her arm has been sore for a while though, making it tricky to get comfy in bed. I've had to help her get dressed and undressed as she couldn't stand her arm getting knocked at all.
Getting better now though. She's only got two and a half days left at work.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Hi pregnant club! Not time for me on here yet but I have a question and the less than 12 week board is super quiet!
Are any of you hypothyroid? I am and reported pg to docs at 5+2 but she said they wouldn't check my bloods again til booking in as I'd had some done in May (before pg). Looking at British Thyroid Association they said dose will probably need upping straight away and other sources say I should be monitored every 4 weeks - so don't know what to do!!
Would appreciate some words of wisdom :-)Officially Mrs B as of March 2013
TTC since Apr 2015, baby B born March 20170 -
Cats I am thypothyroid. I went for a blood test as soon as I found out as it's important to keep an eye on your levels. I am under a consultant due to this and PCOS, so considered a high risk pregnancy. The consultant has said for me to have monthly blood tests and I also have to have a GTT test as hypothyroidism could lead to gestational diabetes later on.
The nurse at my doctors also said to watch carbs and sugar later in pregnancy to help ease pressure on your body.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

By the way my med hasn't been changed as its fine so far. I have been taking thyroxine since 2012 and it was increased just over a year ago unrelated to any pregnancy or TTC.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16
