Can you not go by yourself or find a friend/family member? Or do you mean you will just have to wait until the weekend to go?

My friend went to one but said the only real bargains were if you bought furniture or buggies on display, so if you werent going to do that, she said most of the other stuff you could find for the same price online, so dont think youve missed much :)

I went to the bluewater one with my best friend when she was pregnant last year and she actually got quite badly ripped off on a few things, her and her OH got quite caught up in it all and ended up paying silly money for things they never ended up using or could have got much cheaper on amazon etc :( so I would also say you probably won't miss too much if you don't end up going. Also the goody bags at the bluewater one were a bit rubbish!

Still I might end up going to the bluewater one again in April when it's on, as it is a nice day out and it means I have an excuse to go to Ed's Diner afterwards and munch on hotdogs :):):)

Oh more newbies! If you would like adding to the list please give me your due date and team and I will add you on!

I only have 14 working days as I have leave here and there that I have to take and then my maternity leave starts after two weeks of annual leave in April.

Studying didn't go well today......I managed 45 minutes and then I couldn't help but see specks of dust on the laminate and wanted to do washing. I have a tutorial tomorrow so will hopefully do some tomorrow and the weekend!

Had a terrible day today. Ended up in tears. So hopefully tomorrow will be better!

We went to the baby show at Excel a few weeks back. Overall I thought the prices were not super reduced, maybe just a few pounds under online retailers. Freebies wise we got 2 x Mam 130ml bottles and a £5 mamas and papas gift card. I had hoped for more but maybe I am just greedy :p

There seemed to be good deals on reusable nappies, but only if you bought a whole set. Mam bottles and pumps etc. were very well reduced. It was absolutely brilliant for pram shopping as all the retailers were in the one place and ready to give you a demo. We whizzed through quite quickly picking out ones that would suit and we were both able to try them out together. We bought a Bugaboo Bee + and cocoon ex-display which saved us just over £90 on the cheapest internet deal, so for us it was definitely worthwhile as we're trying to stretch the budget while still getting the things we want. These seem to be sold at Sunday mid-day and then you can take them home in the late afternoon.

I hope you still get to go with your OH on Sat or Sun, Firey :) We brought packed lunch with us (embarrassingly) but were glad we did as there was just one small cafe with expensive eats.

(((Hugs Sam))) sounds like lots of work stress. I hope you feel better tomorrow.

(((Hugs too for work Alias, not too long to go though :))))

    Congrats to SmlSave :j :j

I have less than 30 working days left :) (Work 4 days a week and have some time off at Easter). YAY! I too - have a post it note under my keyboard :)
Got a long to do list today - although going to see one of my best friends and her week old baby :) I need to do boring stuff like start to sort the mortgage out as it needs changing and car insurance etc...

my OH is working unexpected overtime on Saturday that he can't turn down (we need the pennies ha!) and I'm working a night shift Sunday. I asked some of my friends/sister etc but they're all working and my mum is on holiday! we will probably still go Sunday I just usually spend the day before a night shift doing as little as possible :D

thanks for all the warnings about prices etc ladies :) tbh we have the pram, car seat and nursery furniture so I was more looking forward to just a nice day out haha, sad!

just woke up from a horrendous dream in tears! was also up at 3am this morning heaving over the loo, I have no idea why! midwife appointment today, hope I get to hear the heartbeat :)

56 working days left :) I have a count down in my work diary.

OH made a good start on decorating the nursery - we now have the carpet up, woodwork all re-glossed and the 1st coat of paint on. Can't wait for it all to come together!

Baby is being super wiggly, OH woke me up snoring at 3am, then couldn't get back to sleep for him snoring, baby wiggling and being super hungry!

Lara if you want anymore mamas and papas vouchers just sign up to their website. I did that and they sent me a £5 voucher. Then randomly sent me another one about a month later!

I quite fancied going to the london show but they just werent well timed for us. The previous one was I think a couple of weeks before the 20 week scan and we werent buying anything before that, and the last one, well I am just too tired to be walking about to places like that now!

I dont blame you for wanting more freebies as you have to pay to get in!

Just got back from my 28 weeks appt. all is fine, baby the right way up but obviously she will still be wriggling around for a while yet! I put in my request for a home birth :-) I have to go and see a consultant in April for them to 'officially' go through the pros and cons then as long as my placenta has moved up slightly (was low lying but not covering the cervix at 20 weeks) and I get to 36 weeks with no problems then they will sort everything out for me to plan to have baby at home :-D

I really want a positive birth experience this time as last item was so awful and I really think that stopped me bonding with DS straight away and a touch of PND.
I have an open mind though and know things can go wrong at any time but fingers crossed!
