  • Want to ask a quick question before I panic and call the hospital. Seeing the midwife Monday anyway, so can always mention it then.

Did anyone about 31/32 weeks get any bad pains? Just yesterday and today I got a very painful, sharp pain in the center, lower abdomen. Below bump region. Lasted about a minute or two and passed and hasn't been back. Didn't know if it's her moving down and settling and usual, or something more and I should get checked.

  • Good luck Gelly. Hope everything is ok. Best laid plans and all that. With any luck you don't have too much to get done and it isn't anything that you can't do afterwards in sleep times.

It is likely the ligaments again.. or the muscles separating.. as they do.. all quite normal.. When mine did it it was my scar tissue separating and felt like a hot knife being jabbed in my pubic region.. Though obviously, speak to the midwives if you feel the need. If it's not constant I'd leave it while Monday and mention it then.

Gelly.. hope all goes well. :) .. most exciting :)

  • Thanks pigpen. It's not constant and I'm not going to pass out because of it. There's no bleeding. So I didn't want to panic over nothing or end up going to the hospital and sitting around forever for no reason. I'll mention it to her Monday, though she's still a bit poo so I doubt she will say anything.

    Good luck euro!

I'm going to have fun on Tuesday at midwife appointment....for 12 weeks now 'someone' has been supposed to be getting my notes out from dds birth in 2000 to see if I had a pph... Still not happened so I can't get a birth centre risk assessment despite my last consultant asking the SOM to get involved.

100% affirms my homebirth choice. My doula came round Wednesday with loads of books and we start our hypnobirthing course Sunday. I'm finally getting to grips with the fact that she will be here by end of next month, that's scary!

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

Good luck gelly, not long till your little one will be here.

Hope all is going well for skint and Euro.

I did get a bargain yesterday- I am still undecided about feeding and someone recommended that mam sterilizing bottles, well in boots in the clearance section they had a two pack of these in blue reduced from £12 to ;£5 so I've got them, so if I decide to bottle feed I have some to at least get me started.

Still nothing happening here. So bored. Next assessment due in less than an hour but may get postponed. Delivery ward downstairs is so busy they've had to shut a different ward in the hospital in order to divert staff! Maybe bubba knows this and is refusing to budge for that reason?! Lol
