Thanks everyone.
Am resting as much as possible and taking the pain relief for sure! Have just had a shower. Lush! And catheter is out. But otherwise resting, drinking and eating as lost about 800ml of blood during the section.
DH was, and still is being, amazing! He did, and still is doing, everything he could/can to help me through it all. Love that man!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Congrats Euro. Lovely name. Enjoy every minute.
Take it easy. I had bad blood loss and section and now starting to feel back to normal 5 weeks later. Milk your husband for everything haha but sounds like he is doing a great job.
Currently sat with Catherine on my chest whilst she gives me big cuddles. Mummy cuddles are the best. :j0 -

I was vacuuming after 3 weeks.. noone else would so it, like everything else, was left to me.. hanging out laundry i think i managed to day 5 (mostly due to rain).. I can still barely walk (4 weeks today) and still need the crutches .. will i use them yet? .. not on your nelly.. haha... still waiting for 'postnatal physio appointment'.. the one they said i had to have before leaving the hospital, good job I'm perfectly capable of walking about and getting in the shower.. oh no wait, I'm not.. painkillers stopped on day 3 after i nearly dropped the baby falling asleep, the ones they usually give I couldn't have due to PPH.. and yesterday I changed the bed sheets.. I can't pick anything up from the floor though. I currently have an infection in the stitches (which smells like death) and a UTI.. the midwife very kindly discharged me after saying she would sort a GP appointment.. and they refused her too.. ha, see, told her so!! *smug* so it is ongoing.. I reckon my immune system will win eventually.
So yes... if you can get anyone to do anything.. do it!!! absolute guilt free delegation.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hey ladies hope you are all well and huge congrats to money and euro... fantastic news.
Just a quick update as Internet connection is rubbish here in hospital. Went in to be induced on the 28th, I won't go into detail unless anybody specifically wants to know as it wasn't a good experience for me at all. Epidurals failed drastically and ended up having a section on 2nd July so 17 days late and after a very traumatic birth Joshua was born... 8lb 10 and the most gorgeous baby.
Unfortunately due to the labour we both ended up on iv drips as we both have an infection and I lost quite a bit of blood plus I now have high blood pressure but as I write this he is on my chest gazing up at me and it makes everything okay.
Hopefully we should be going home on Wednesday so I will update better then and have a good catch up with the thread xxxMarried 1st October 2015:heartpuls

Congratulations skint. So sorry everything took so long and went so horribly. As hard as it sounds though, once the infections clear you've got him to cuddle up to and the bad bits are all over. Really hope you're feeling better soon and able to go home xBook a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120
