Still only 3/5 engaged. Cervix is lower but still closed, so again couldn't do sweep. Induction now booked for Friday. Going for a McDonald's!

Euronorris, hang in there!! Hopefully you'll go yourself before Friday! I've just sent my hubby to Maccy Ds for a Mcflurry..

Got a bag of clothes off one of my friends today of neutrals which is lovely as I didn't realise how little clothes I had for baby girl. But I assume I'll get a few bits so I'm not buying anything! Got my baby monitor as well today off my friend second hand as well bargains all round..

Flutterby, I feel your pain - I was up at 5am with awful acid reflux. Almost felt like I was going to get sick and it was the second time it's happened this week, it's so horrible. A month now till due date - and my consultant is only letting me go 7 days over so it's good to know she'll be here soon!

Our travel system is ordered from a local pram shop. We haven't ordered an ISO fix base, they recommended picking the car seat up in September and seeing how we felt then coming back in for an ISO fix if we felt like we needed one.

Midwife came this morning to try and do the sweep and again unsuccessful, cervix is a lot softer and lower than last week but still not open still fully engaged and his shoulders are actually in my pelvic area, the pain today is soooo bad I could cry. I was hoping for the same euro I thought my waters would pop, I had the towel ready and everything!

So, after that we went to the hospital for the CTG scan, there was an hour wait so we went for a walk around the hospital to try and get things moving, went back after an hour to be told I would have another half hr wait, I asked how necessary it was to have it today as I am getting induced tomorrow and she said I didn't need to go in at all today as they would do it tomorrow anyway :mad: so unless a miracle happens overnight then I will be getting induced tomorrow at 6pm. I really want it to come on naturally but I am highly doubting it now. 40+12 and totally fed up

Anyway enough about my moaning, euro lets hope your little girl is less lazy than my boy!!

I worked from home today, it was.lovely having an extra hours sleep!! At the moment I have one in each of the days I have a full 5 day week but may see if I can sneak in a few more, or maybe use a bit of toil a few mornings to go in a bit later.

Oh balls skint! It's so frustrating isn't it? I kept telling myself that this could happen but I still ended up having a cry on way back from hospital. It's just one of those situations that I have no control over and I so desperately want to meet my little girl now!

They said my cervix was softer too. So some progress has been made I guess. They also said that if I had another night of contractions/braxton hicks like I did the other night it could indicate that the cervix has ripened and opened, so I'm welcome to request another sweep then and they'll just fit me in for one that day. Have been having some on and off since hospital, so fingers crossed. If it continues like this, I might call on Thursday and request another sweep.

Trying to stay positive now. One way or another, baby will be here this weekend so will yours! Xxx

So sorry you two. Really hope you both manage to get some pain free sleep tonight. They'll be here soon, one way or another. Just hope it's sooner for you both. X

Totally cannot wait for tomorrow afternoon, boss has said I can go home after the meal tomorrow so should be free by 3pm :j. I'm meeting two colleagues for lunch today, they are both off sick at moment so don't want to come to my actual leaving lunch but wanted to see me which is nice.

I actually slept ALL NIGHT last night :T not even a toilet trip, I did go up about midnight which is later than normal. Still feel tired though :rotfl:.
