Skint- I'm your birthday buddy as its my birthday this Friday too!!

Euro and skint (and anyone else due any day/ overdue) hope your little ones arrive soon.

Hip is very painful today, and typically I had to walk up and down stairs lots today which made it even worst!! Going to have a very lazy evening!!

Is pineapple supposed to bring it on? I knew spicy food, hot curry and all that but pineapple is a new one. You been googling them all?

It is claimed it does.. but you have to eat about 6.. whole ones.

giving your OH some 'happy time' and ingesting is meant to be more use than playing tents. Utterly gross.. but you might fancy it :p

Argh. Let's hope mine is on time.
I've been banned from ANY kind of useful happy time by the doctor. Placenta previa. Means nothing naughty is allowed and hasn't been for 10 weeks now. Not til my check up on Aug 1st to see if things have been shuffled around to the right places in there.
By which time I'll be too beached to want to!

Tried that a few times.... No dice.

Don't fancy the pineapple. Think I'd just end up with upset stomach and a sore mouth.

I think I spoke too soon about the plug. I had a few drops of blood and slightly increased discharge almost immediately afterwards but nothing else since, so was probs just that cervix was irritated after her attempt. Baby has been pushing down on cervix more though as am getting lots of 'fanny daggers'.

Skint - I had a night like that a few days ago. Was so hopeful, and then gutted when it just stopped :( hugs, you must be so frustrated. 12 days is induction time round here too. Though 2nd sweep is booked for next Monday. And I live in hope that I will be like your friend.

Keeping my fingers firmly crossed that you will be in labour soon! :) x

midwife thinks baby no longer engaged but about an hour after seeing her the fanny daggers had resumed so think it's having another go! 14 days over is induction here! I thought a bit of plug was coming away but midwife said plug can come out, you can be dilated for weeks with a second baby and it means nothing. Not to get your hopes down or anything euro as of course it can also mean imminent labour!
  • crazy- Google is currently my best friend, I have read all sorts such as eating pineapples, willy sweeps, eating curry, bouncing on ball, walking up the stairs side wards, going for long walks, and I even read that Lush do a bath bomb called sex bomb which is safe in pregnancy (it has clary sage oil in it or something) which some women seem to swear by.

Hubby refuses to do the deed (I'm not actually wanting it myself at the moment but I'll do anything right now)

Ahhh Think- I am hoping and praying he will be here before Friday not that I don't want to share my birthday with him!! Got my sweep on Thursday though so you never know.

euro- It's all sounding good, hopefully our babies will be here really soon!!!

  • Just got home and too late to phone the companies so ranting here instead... I had booked the mothercare delivery for July 15th, hoping the pram would be in stock and delivered at the same time. Got home tonight to find cot mattress thrown over side gate, been there since Friday, bent in half and in the pouring rain (luckily as far as we can see, the wrapping hasn't let water in) and a second note from yodel saying a parcel has been left with a neighbour down the road... I went and knocked and she hasn't had anything! Someone will be getting an earful tomorrow morning!!! Yodel for being useless and mothercare for not telling me everything would be delivered one thing at a time, not on the day I chose for delivery! Sorry for rant, am frustrated at not being able to phone them up!

  • Yodel are the most incompetent, useless !!!!!!s in the world. Wouldn't trust them to deliver a brick, never mind anything that could get damaged or damp.
I've had things left in my bin..on COLLECTION DAY! Got home to find them gone.
Something similar to you, left in the garden under a planter. Never knew and never saw it. No note explaining. It was there for a month while I argued with them before finally finding it damaged beyond use. And something else left poking out of the letterbox where anyone could see it and take it.
    Understand your frustration!

yodel put an Xbox 360.. on release date so you know how much they cost!.. in my bin on collection day too. MyHerpes are no better.. and their drivers stole several parcels and my daughter almost ended up with a whopping fine for fly tipping when they not only stole her parcel but left the packaging in an alley.. as it was she had to go crawling through household waste and dog turds and god knows what else to remove the bits with their name on when she was 8 months pregnant.. they are disgusting

It's my brother's birthday is this week too. Can't remember if it's 22nd or 24th. My Mum seems really keen for baby to arrive on that day, which I find odd. I'd rather she had her own birthday. Getting more difficult as other family birthdays coming up definitely include 24th, 26th and 27th. Just can't remember who's who! Lol
