Got weighed at booking in and a few times since. I didn't keep an eye on it myself for a while because I thought it would be quite scary, but not as bad as I thought. Weighed myself the other day and compared to my green notes. Gained 1 stone 4 pounds so far. Thought from the size of me and the junk I'd been eating it would be double. That's why I was equally as surprised when she was spot on what size she should be when the midwife measures the bump. Thought she'd be way over.
The size of the bump and the amount I eat I always envisioned trying to shove out a three stone baby elephant!Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120 -
Oh, that's reassuring to know that they obviously don't weigh us very much. I have my 31 gp check up and then my 34 week midwife appointment all booked in so will see if anything gets said about my weight in those appointments.
Can't believe I'm 28 weeks tomorrow. Have a 4d scan booked on for Saturday, looking forward to that and seeing the little one again.
Have a little but of stomach acid discomfort at the moment, think it's my own fault as I haven't taken my tablets for a couple of days, so took one earlier and have had some gavison, hope that's enough to keep it at bay!!
So have you now been able to order your pushchair Freddie? I've gone for a base but it was half price with the car seat, but I did want one as I think it will make life much easier. I do plan on getting a fixed isofix (rearward amd forward facing) for ohs car, so need to start looking at which one to get.0 -
We have the big, older baby car seats put away ready in the attic for when she's bigger, and a smaller one with the pram.
Got this one for newborn..

On offer at the shop, but can't find a link to there. Was really impressed with it. They were the only ones to push keeping her rear facing and not going to front facing and how the seat can adapt and grow. They showed us how to fix with and without isofix and it was so stable in the car. And this one meets the new safety standards being brought in about speed and impact testing and space for the baby.
Hadn't heard anything of them before seeing it in the shop but quickly checked a few sites online to read reviews and they were all glowing, so went with it as it was (supposedly) only a weekend offer and back to full price afterwards.Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120 -
Obviously there has been a big push over recent years to keep babies rearward facing as long as possible, but when I worked at mothercare years ago the guidance was a minimum of 9 months, but the longer the better, but it never used to cease to amaze me when parents had 4 or 5 months old who were approaching the minimum weight for forward facing car seats and would insist they needed to go forward facing, the baby's couldn't support their necks at all, I dread to think if many parents ignored our advice.0

crazy.. that is the car seat I have.. my granddaughter still fits in it at 19 months!! It is flatter than most car seats which was one of the things I like as their head doesn't flop forward so much.. the Britax one we had was tiny and absolutely horrible.. both the 4 and 5 year olds hated it and screamed the entire time they were in the.. I got the Go for my 2 year old and its done her then my granddaughter and now this one.. she looks utterly tiny in it though.. It is a lovely seat. The fabric comes off easily to wash too which is definitely a bonus.
The red one is a fair bit cheaper than the black..
this is the dreadful britax one we had.. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Britax-Baby-Safe-Infant-Carrier-Olivia/dp/B003X0BC38/ref=sr_1_21?s=baby&ie=UTF8&qid=1466352561&sr=1-21&keywords=britax+shr

Great to hear some one say they like it. The reviews all seem to be great, but always good to hear a real life positive mention of it. They had about ten choices of colours for us to pick from, all same price. We went for ocean. A kind of real colour. Bit different, but looked nice.
Think the isofix base was about £180. And bonus is it'll connect to the bugaboo frame too.Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120 -
Oh I was worried then pigpen as I have a britax car seat, but luckily it isn't the one you linked, and the one we have has much better reviews.
Can anyone recommend a isofix rearward to forward facing car seat that is approximately from birth to 4?0 -
I was only weighed at booking in appointment and then again at 38 week appointment (I think it was - it was recent). I've kept track myself anyway, and at last check (bout a week ago) I was just shy of 2 stone gain which I'm pretty pleased with. No idea how I've managed that as haven't been 'good' with my eating at all. I can only assume the walking to and from work helped to keep the number down! Lol
Just been cleaning the oven. Gotta leave it for four hours now. Removed and cleaned the glass windows already and they look miles better alreadyFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Oh really, hopefully I will find it ok. I have learnt with blood tests to be clear in which arm and where roughly and have found that if they listen to me they can get the blood really easily.
Has anyone been weighed at their midwife/ doctor appointments? I was asked my weight at my booking in appointment and they weighed me when I had my 12 week scan but that's been it, I just wondered if that was usual?
I was asked at booking in and weighed at 12 weeks, that's all xBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16
